Yes it is legal to own and posses firearms in this country, thank God.  There is enough stuff happening at these big football factories that maybe you should try to pick a real crime.

I was happy to see the article on the rising fortunes of Wooster College football.  Mount vs Wooster used to be a great rivalry and I would like to see it return.  The opener would be great for both teams.  If the Scots are on the rise, it would be a nice measuring stick for them, and if after two years it did not appear competitive, the teams could choose not to renew the contract.  I think Mount would love to open with the Scots, if only for the travel savings they would realize.

I've heard that the staff likes to get the team away every other year to get the feeling of staying in a hotel before playing a game.

Also, if you're a Mount fan, you must go to Mount Union's Facebook page (or Vince's) and watch the video tour he gives of the new locker room... Pretty sweet. That doesn't even include the Gulling Center for training.

Speaking of Wooster, on Mount's bye week, I am going to watch Wooster play host to Allegheny. Should be interesting. Go Scots! Go Gators!.

  Wooster will never schedule Mount Union. They simply do not have the athletes to avoid a 72-0 pasting.

Several years back, an attempt was made to play Wooster for the first game. The Wooster coach at that time said he would play Mount in the 11th or 12th game, but not the first. Said he didn't want to start the season with a loss! Now you know the rest of the story! Go Raiders! ☠🏈

Today is a big day for Vince Kehres. His defending National Champs kick off their preseaon camp today on Vince and Lindsay's 19th wedding anniversary.  Congratulations for both occasions.

Depending on to whom you speak, Mount Union has 135-140 Freshmen out for football. I have watched them for 2 days. They take up a lot of room on our new turfed practice field. Isn't that more than some schools entire team? I thought so!
Don't have a count yet on the upperclass population. Watched them this afternoon. I don't know enough about either squad to offer any insight. Maybe later.

W&L had 80 come to camp for the whole team. About normal for the Generals if not a few above the high 70s for the last couple seasons. 25 first years this year. One major difference between W&L and other schools, of the 23 first years in the class of 2019 who first stepped on to the field in the fall of 2015, 17 came out again as seniors. Last year the Generals had 19 first years, this year they have 18 sophomores.

Different programs, different styles obviously.

Certainly can't argue with the outstanding academic reputation of W&L. Wish Mount had a little more of that. You give true meaning to the term "student - athlete". Not all of us went to our respective schools for the football team. I definitely did not!
