This whole thing has me furious. I'll simply say I agree with you 100%. Love the picture. As you may know, I'm an Air Force veteran. I think vets generally stand together on this issue. I hope that clown never plays football again.

I am a Vet. 2 tours, 2 wars (Desert Storm, and OIF). The flag we all insist he and others stand for is the same flag that represents his freedom not to. The flag is a cloth - red, white and blue. That's all it is. Arrange the pattern differently and it is the flag of France, or England or Russia. The physical thing doesn't mean anything more - however it stands as the symbol of the very freedoms we hold in such high regard. It is the symbol of Freedom - freedom of speech, of the press, freedom to peaceably assemble and protest, freedom to stand, or sit, or kneel. I didn't join the Army because of the flag - and I didn't go to war for the flag - I did it because I value the freedoms the flag represents. One of those freedoms is, like it or not, the freedom to protest the flag and even to burn the flag. I think when it comes to the flag we get blinded by the symbol of it, the visual of it and in so doing lose site of what the flag itself stands for.

Does it bother me when I see people kneel or not remove their hats? Absolutely. Do I teach my kids to stand and remove their hats, and be quiet as the flag passes or the Anthem is played? Yes I do. But I also tell them that the flag and anthem are not what is important - its what they represent that has to upheld and honored. Even if an idiot decides to light it on fire in protest - or to kneel during the anthem - Veterans fought for their freedom to do that.

I just think our values are a bit off when we don't burn Nike shoes because they are made in an under-developed country with child labor paid pennies on the dollar - but we burn them because Colin K is in the ad?

I'm with DesertRaider.

I'm foursquare behind peaceful free speech.  Free speech for Colin Kaepernick, free speech for shoe burners, free speech for NFL boycotters.

What I despise is the prevention of free speech on college campuses.  What I despise is the violent prevention of free speech, by organizations such as  the absurdly-named Antifa.  (A fascist group if ever I've seen one.)

Totally agree that McFadden could easily replace JEM in the backfield.  As soon as JEM got the ball, he tried to get outside instead of upfield and lost ground as a LB shoe stringed him.  Am so tired of seeing his schtick, McFadden will get more carries and I think prove more effective.

Also a cold war veteran here, and Nike  has lost my business, and I would imagine the business of many other vets.  But that is my choice, you have to make your own decision. 

Nothing on here about the JCU players, starting QB included, getting pinched by the law for a rowdy party...gotta believe if it were Mount kids, they would be getting hammered even if it were just college hi-jinx...

For the purpose of this Policy, the following drug classes, substances or their metabolites
that can be tested for are considered illicit or banned for University Student Athletes:

In fairness, the lady next door was probably the one that called it in. A more worthy hostage never existed!!
In my day (way back from 2009-13 lol), that party would have been rookie hour. We were smart enough to have the parties away from Warrensville Rd. On the weekends, that street was all freshman wondering around looking for the party. Upper classmen tended to keep the parties on the down low as to avoid having freshmen (aka, morons) show up. This new generation has a lot to learn lol!
On a side note, I like the John Carroll Brew-niversity name. I Have often said we Catholics can drink everyone else under the table (especially students with Irish, Italian, and German backgrounds) , so in theory, we should be the best drinkers in the conference!

Are you sure about this one?!   Most police dogs will keep coming at you after being SHOT, much less kicked.  Is Disbrow really that tough and/or crazy?!
