DID BURKES TRANSFER RECENTLY TO MOUNT OR WAS IT OVER SUMMER, I DONT RECALL SEEING HIS NAME AT ALL UNTIL LAST WEEK?

Probably safe to assume that he just rolled up onto campus five weeks into the semester and started playing football as college students often do.

We're going to have to do a wellness check on gizzmo when he finds out that Burkes is listed as QB2 this week.   ;D

Burkes was a 4 sports all star athelete in High School and graduate from Neshannock High School with 14 varsity letters.  Bellow is a link to a good article I found on him.

http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/highschool/2014/04/30/High-school-notebook-Neshannock-senior-a-4-sport-star-and-it-s-rare/stories/201404290256

Burkes is listed as a Junior.  He played QB as a Freshman in 2014 at Mount Union and was listed as a possible WR his sophomore year at MTU in 2015.

If I remember correctly you have 5 years for 4 years of eligibility.  With his NCAA "Clock" starting in the fall of 2014, wouldn't this be his last year of eligibility?  Unless he petitioned for a medical redshirt.

He can be a college junior and run out of athletic eligibility this year.  Those things aren't mutually exclusive.

There's no clock in Division III -- you have 10 semesters of full-time enrollment for four years of eligibility, but you can use those four years (and that enrollment) whenever.

Thank you sir.  So since I only spent 8 semesters in college and only played two years, I still have two season's of eligibility left, if I split up the semesters (Fall, Off-Spring, Fall)?

To be fair guys, when you schedule such tough opponents as; Alma, Bluffton and Defiance, you will sometimes drop a game because of how exhausting your schedule is.

In line with what you were saying - I only spent 8 semesters at Mount and didn't play football at all. Do I have 4 years of eligibility. Never mind. I get it. Just kidding.
JCUStreaks70 probably explained the Muskingum losses. I guess they don't care much for BW either.

UMU has played Muskingum 20 times and hasn't lost yet.  This might be the year for the Musingum.  NOT.

I like the uniform timeline from @UMUFB_Equipment for homecoming this weekend...

Tuesday:  "Stay tuned for our uniform announcement Thursday!  Something different for homecoming!!"
Wednesday:  "Stay tuned for a more traditional look for homecoming uniform combination!  Still planning to wear what we had in mind, just now at a later date!"
Friday:  Tweet pic of purple helmets/purple jersey/white pants

VK must have got a little chat about how the old alumni need to see their most vanilla uniforms not some flashy alternate look.  They would have needed a fleet of ambulances if they came out for homecoming in those matte black helmets with chrome face masks.

I do like how JCU has been doing that as well...

They have been giving the Uniform combination on Friday..

Also, I am sure Mount guys will appreciate this, you can also see the gameday artwork they did for the game a couple weeks ago on twitter

Going stag. No one will go with me. I'll be in the covered stands, Section 3 Row G Seat 13. I'll be easy to spot - ruggedly handsome and built like a Greek God. I obviously intimidate women because of those features. Oh, just kidding. (See signature below). Go Raiders! ☠🏈

So Luke Poorman could sit out 2019 and play for Mount Union in 2020?

Cool!

I have  a lot going on tomorrow so I won't make the game, but I hope to meet up with someday at a future UMU game.    I'll remember to look for the Greek God old Catholic guy.

I hope to make a few of the remain regular season games, but I do know I'll probably be at all 4 home playoff games this year.  We don't sit in the stands, but instead we prefer to be either standing close to field or sit in the Dom Capers press box.  We do enjoy going to the pre game meal in the cafeteria so maybe I can meet up with you there sometime.
