Given the DRAMATIC improvement in the QB play at UMHB this year, I would vote UMHB #1 in the polls.

(Not that I have a vote, not that I SHOULD have a vote and not that it really matters at this point.)

Let the negative karma begin. . . .

St. Glenn is BACK!! Up 73-14 in the 4th qtr with 4:11 on the clock the Tommies....GO FOR for 2! The attempt failed because God stepped in and asked "Seriously?"

Narrative and all that, but Dolan kneeled it on that EP after the 4th(??) string FB scored on that play.

Marietta downs Heidi 38-34. Etta is 5-0. Figure Wilma next week pushes them to 6-0 an then the fun part of the schedule begins.
Wow great to see. I thought Berg had won the game. Getting old and can't read a small screen I guess.

I agree. UMU isn't in postseason form and UMHB would get my #1 vote...if I got to vote haha. UMU needs to get their offense in a flow. I feel like the running game isn't where it needs to be and that is what opens up the passing game for Fulford bc of his style. The defense is getting there and I think you can lean on them for awhile. These two programs are no doubt 1&2 in D3. BTW, I love how the defense or special teams has found a way to score or greatly impact the game every week so far. Berry stepping up big again!

Thoughts and prayers to the St John's football family. Seemed like a guy you'd do anything for.

Has there ever been a discussion about a running clock in college football?

Not sure what you mean about running clock. At various times, in Mount games, a running clock has been utilized. I think both coaches have to agree on it. Desertraider or Dr. Acula can probably speak to this issue better than I. ☠🏈

I played in a game with a running clock. No matter how fast I ran - I couldn't catch it.  ;D

I believe both coaches have to agree. I am not sure what triggers it though. I used to know...but I am getting old - ish and perhaps I forget misremember things. 8-)

You "misremember" things? Nah! Look at my signature. We just plain forget stuff. Of course, I am "advanced middle-age"! Go Team! ☠🏈

From what I can gather in NCAA a coach has to request a shortened portion (2nd half, 4th qtr) and then both coaches need to agree. But the clock rules stay the same (i.e. no running clock). One example used was a game with Austin Peay getting blownout and requesting a 10 min 4th qtr due to heat. But I thought I remember seeing a few games where a running clock was used in the second half.

I remember some Mount games with a running clock. It doesn't shorten the game, it just speeds it up. Clock runs on out of bounds, incomplete passes , first downs and maybe some more. I said you would know more about this than me. You're the professor, I am but the student. Go Somebody! ☠🏈

I don't know who has jurisdiction when an NCAA team hosts a non-NCAA team, but the UW-W/Middle Georgia State game was shortened in the second half at the request of the MGS Head Coach.  Both the 3rd and 4th quarters were shortened to 10 minutes.
