Purple:  that's been my issue with him too.  He's accurate when he has a clean pocket and feels comfortable to step into the throw.  He did this last Stagg against the MHB pressure and missed multiple open receivers deep that would have blown the game wide open.  Seems to have gotten much worse this season.  Awfully bad habit for a QB to have.  Difficult to break.  Looks like he has a case of the "yips".

I like him as a QB, no doubt.  But I wish he had Ballard or Burke's toughness to sit in the pocket and make a throw with pressure in his face.  Reminds me of a very athletic version of Rob Adamson.

Could it be overconfidence?  A belief that he's so talented that he does not need to pay attention the the fundamentals?  This isn't meant to be disparaging to the young man.  It's a common trate that many have to battle against.

I think it is just having more pressure in his face.  I noticed it a lot in the John Carol game when their D-Line was in the backfield all game.

Talked to him at a party before the season started. He said he wants "to prove" that he deserves to be the starter. Wants to prove he's better than Poorman or anybody else for that matter. I told him I think he proved himself last year. If this is his attitude, couldn't that affect the way he plays? He needs to just be himself, have fun and not feel he has to prove himself. Thoughts? ☠🏈❓

I think his play last year was great.  Can't complain about a Championship.  Especially with the Victory in the Semi Final Game.  It appears to me (in my limited viewing) that he has regressed a bit.  Needs to relax, trust his line, stand tall in the pocket, and deliver the ball.  A QB has got to know he'll get hit, the good ones can stand in the face of pressure and still deliver the football accurately.

with all this qb talk, unfortunately i haven't been to a game yet or seen this burke's kid play.  i know he is small and can run but does he have an arm? can he throw a deep ball? apparently they like him over keeny.

Haven't seen enough of him to answer your questions. I know he can run like a deer. I go to practices almost every day. A lot of QBs have been getting reps. Seems like VK is looking for the #2 backup. The team has so many QBs. Time will tell. ☠🏈
