I saw on Twitter recently several responses to the question Top 5 Sports Dynasties of All Time. You only get 5.

My list is

1.  1993 and counting Mount Union Football
2.  1940s - 50s Clevenad Browns
3.  1960s - 70s John Wooden UCLA Bruins
4.  1950s - 60s Boston Celtics
5.  2000 and counting UConn Women's Basketball

Not arguing with your list but a little addenda:

I'd take those Browns all the way from 1950 to their last championship in 1964, or even the last conference championship in that run in 1972.

1987 to 2008 Tennessee Women's Basketball.  There would be no Geno without Pat.  Classic rivalry.

Iowa 1975-2010 D1 Wrestling

Augustana made the playoffs in ten straight years and won four in a row -- that will never be matched.

And D3 Kenyon men won 31 straight swimming and diving championships!  The Kenyon women won 17 straight during the same period.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

I won't argue with either list, but you can't have a ranking of this type without including (and it absolutely kills me to say this, since I dislike them so much) the NY Yankees. They had a long drought in the late 60s and the 70s but have otherwise been at or near the top of the AL since the 1920s.

You additions to the list are strong candidates especially Iowa Wrestling with Dan Gable 80s-90s

I agree with you about hating the Yankees because of their strategy to out spend others in an attempt to buy championships. I don't know if they were doing it almost 100 years ago or not, but I'll give a pass to the NY Yankees Murder's Row 20s-30s acknowledge them as candidates for the list.

I realize someone has also mentioned Kenyon but nobody will ever challenge 31 consecutive years national champions.  If you would ask the question of the most consecutive championships in a bar it is a guaranteed win as the answers most often given are either UCLA (basketball), Iowa (wrestling) or Mt. Union (football).

Thanks to mr_mon and ohiofan1954 for bring to my attention the extended excellence of Kenyon men's swim team which in addition to 33 years in a row of being crowned national champions this year they ended a streak of 39 years in a row of them coming either first or second in the championship while they won it all 34 times over that span.  Even more impressive about their level of domination is that the D3 men's swimming championships according to Wikipedia has been in existence for only 44 years. Very impressive indeed.

Not so sure about that, North Dakota state just rattled off 5 straight titles from 2011-2015. I'd put NDSU on here before Augustana

WRMUalum13

Also what about Tigers Woods dominance? I know it's not a traditional dynasty but he may have been the most dominant athlete of all time in his prime.

Dynasty?  I got your dynasty right here.  Champion.  American hero.

If wining was the only attribute for being considered a sports dynasty then the Harlem Globetrotters would be at the top of the list.  They reportedly won 8,829-games in a row over 24 years only to have their winning streak ended with a loss to a team led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1995.  However, they don't come close to making my top 5.
