I don't think you can rank Mount's QBs.
Jim Ballard broke through for us.
The Great Number 7 had the most talented teams.
Smeck, Fulford, and Burke won it all as sophomores.
Micheli had Shorts and Garcon to throw to.
Fulford has yet to complete his career but is undefeated and might win three with a receiving
corps rivaling Micheli's
Adamson and The Great Number 7 went 28-0 their last two years, each winning two.
On a personal note..the 07,08,09,10,12 and 15 teams all beat the piss out of BWC and JCU, running up the score.
We have to wait and see what Fulford does the rest of his career but if he wins three, he gets the top spot.

Toledo was up 38-13 with about a minute and a half in the game.  They have the ball at the Ball State 41 yard line.  Toledo starting QB still in and on 3rd and 5 they throw a 41 yard TD on a deep post to a reserve WR.  Final Score 45-13.

Ball State HC has some choice words for Jason Candle after the game.

What the heck? Caruso-esque.  Hopefully just a one time anomaly.

Jason always seemed to be a good guy. Maybe he had an old score to settle.

According to ESPN, last night's starting Toledo QB (Peters) is the back-up to the injured 1st stringer (Guadagni).
One could still point to the play that was called, but eh.

Onward on, John Carroll

If beating the piss out of BW and/or JCU is what makes for a good year for you . . . you have had an outstanding last 3 decades. ;)

I noticed on the 2 deep this week that Williams is listed as Robinson's backup at LB.  Berry slid over to starting spur and Jalen Griffin is now the other starting corner (he also started for Brown when he missed).  Wonder if that's a schematic thing to match up with Musky?  I know, I know...it's Musky and it doesn't matter.  Just thought it was interesting.

JEM was also listed as RB2 this week.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Williams switch is for when we face offenses that go 5 wide. I'm not as concerned about 5 wide as I am to face a team like Brockport, UMHB, St John's or UWW that will run well and still be able to pass. I'd like to see the defense go with 4 down linemen against those teams, but we don't need to do that schematically vs most of the OAC, minutes JCU.

This is also the time of year where we will start to see more young guys in the 2 deep. Nice to know that some young guys are pushing for playing time.

Last Week Starting LBS:

Bandit - Robinson
Mike - O'hara
Will - Williams
SPUR - Brish

This Week Starting LBS:

Bandit - Brish
Mike - Robinson
Will - O'hara
SPUR - Berry

I assume this is game planning by bringing Berry into the box (is the SPUR a Nickle CB?) and also moved Robinson to an inside LB.

I like commenting on things I know nothing about, so......

Rather than game specific scheming, I'm guessing VK is taking the opportunity for guys to get some experience in different spots to add to the team's versatility so they are as equipped as possible to deal with any injuries that may occur in the playoffs.

Hey guys,

I've been pretty absent this season on the message board but wanted to share.  I'm dealing with some significant happenings in life right now that some on here know about and that's been a challenge but football and specifically coaching have been my respite.  We just finished our regular season out here at Apache Junction High School in AZ and I couldn't be happier with my young men and their effort.  We won last night to finish the regular season 7-3, 5-0 in our region.  Last year we won a region title for the first time since 1983 and last night we sealed our second straight region championship which has never been done in school history.  I know it's not OAC-related but I wanted to make a proof of life appearance and brag about my boys.

It was.  And that was the only time I've ever eaten at that place but it wasn't bad.  I wish I could say I have found time to get back to CT to visit friends but that hasn't happened.  I get back to Ohio once a year but that's about it.  Thank goodness for social media because that's about the only way I stay in touch.

We play the number one team in the state tonight at their place.  Odds are against but they always are.  If we found enough in us to upset #3, we can show up and give it a shot against #1.

On or off the field, you have my support and/or congratulations ... whichever is appropriate
We are overdue getting some wings together.  New Haven was a long time ago, wasn't it?

You want him to be both Vince Lombardi AND William Safire?

Yup, the bye week really helped OSU.  They look much different.    ::)
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

The running game and defense does not look to be in championship form, as of yet....They remind me of Ohio state, can throw, having issues running and give up alot of big chunk plays..
