How many JCU Fans does it take to change a light bulb?

ONE, but it never really gets done. He holds the bulb up and waits for the world to revolve around him.

Hey. The diploma on the dashboard gets me closer. Remember, I'm older. You're "70". I'm "57".
We have to meet sometime and have a drink or ten. Go Whoever! (Should that be "Go Whomever"?)
Who cares! I don't mean that in a bad way.
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

Why do Mount alums put their diploma's on their front dashboard???

So they can use Handicap parking. ;)

Here's another....

A John Carroll student is driving home for Thanksgiving break. While on his way, he passes by a kindly looking old priest stranded on the side of the road, his car broken down. Being a man for others, he rolls down his window and asks the priest where he is headed. The priest tells him he is going to the cathedral in Toledo. Coincidentally, he is headed back to Toledo himself. He offers the priest a ride, which he gratefully accepts. They drive for a couple of minutes making small talk when the John Carroll student sees a BW student crossing the street up ahead. Since he has a deep seated hate for all Yellow Jackets, he instinctively speeds up. At the last minute, he remembers he has a priest in the car with him, and he swerves to the left avoid contact. Still, he hears a very loud thud on the side of his car. Panicking, he turns to the priest, and says
"Father. I am so sorry! I tried to avoid hitting that BW student!"
The priest calmly looks straight ahead.
"I know you did my son. That's why I threw my door open. I didn't want you to do something you'd regret"

I thought we'd stub our toe along the way but that didn't happen.  Some people have put up points on BW who I just did not think could put up substantial points on anyone.  As a result, I  agree - I think our defense will hold em and the offense will function at a high enough level to get the win.  Then . . . get ready for a tour of upstate NY as a road warrior throughout the playoffs.

I'll be rooting for you guys Saturday. Your point is well taken about points being scored on BW. And you have a pretty good QB as the leader of the offense. Of course, I'll be at the Mount game. But I will keep track of "The Battle of Cleveland". Go Blue Streaks ❗️❗️❗️

"Battle of Cleveland?!" The Cuyahoga Gold Bowl has a name 57  ;D

Good catch on the misuse of an apostrophe by our JCU friend. I was concerned with the fact that 3 JCU coeds went into a building. You would have thought one of them would have seen it.

Damn! I love JCU/BW week. This board comes alive. Between our JCU guys, K & J's Dad and jamtoTommie, I'm having a great time reading all the jokes.
A BW coed called me yesterday and said, "Come over to my house. No one's home". I went over to her house. No one was home.

Ba-dum-bump.  ;)

I know what it is called. They themselves often call it "The Battle of Cleveland". That was my choice of names this time. Don't need corrected by you. Aren't we on the same team? Oh, what the hell.
Hope JCU wins whether the game has a name or not! It'd be nice to see 2 OAC teams in the playoffs.

I think you picked up the Rodney Dangerfield in my post on the BW coed story. You're good.

During yesterday's JCU Heidelberg game in the second quarter Heidelberg punter Austin Baker set an NCAA Division III record with a 95-yard punt.  With the ball on the 5 yardline Baker reportedly kick the ball 2 yards deep in the endzone with the ball going into the other endzone.  There was a wind at his back, but OMG what a kick.  Austin out kicked his coverage who weren't able to down the ball before it went into the endzone. I didn't see the play but I wonder how far the ball rolled into the endzone.

I can't imagine the probability of a longer punt.  I googled longest punt in college and found a hit on NCCA web page that list...... longest punt in NCAA and college football history. Pat Brady, the specialist for the University of Nevada, set the record in 1950 with a 99-yard punt against Loyola Marymount.

The article further stated "The punt itself sailed about 70 yards in the air before it rolled down past the 1-yard line in the original Mackay Stadium. There hasn't been a punt marked 99 yards since that day on Oct. 28."

The report of this longest punt from 1950 seems a bit odd by today's standards. Based on today's standards the punting team would have had to have been almost on their goal line when punting.  I don't know for sure, but I suspect back then the punting distance was measured from where the ball was kicked and not the line of scrimmage.

Here it is:  https://twitter.com/YahooSportsCFB/status/1058833672072257541

Punter kicked it from about 3 yards deep.  Ball landed on Opposite 35. 68 yards in the air.

K&J Dad

Thanks for sharing the link.  I can't imagine the possibility of a much longer punt.  With the line of Sri mags the 5 yard line the punter was set up near the end line maybe 8 or yards deep in the end zone. Baker step forward and contacted the ball about 3 yards deep

Why is BW called the yellow jackets?

Because Blue Streaks was already taken.

BW always trying to keep up with the Catholics then chose yellow streaks but once the were reminded that was term for pissing down one's leg they aimed higher and came up with yellow jackets.

Does any one associated in any way with Baldwin -Wallace ever post on this board? I don't recall ever seeing anything. most posts are from Mount fans, some from JCU followers and an occasional post from one of the other schools. It has been stated they might not know about computers or smart phones. But surely, someone in the assisted living facility would be able to help. They should take advantage of the educational opportunities available to them. There is no shame in wanting to be a viable part of society. You need not always be known as a "Yellow Jacket". Therapy and support groups can go a long way in allowing you to become "normal"!
But hey, we wish everyone the best. Go OAC!
