I thought we'd stub our toe along the way but that didn't happen.  Some people have put up points on BW who I just did not think could put up substantial points on anyone.  As a result, I  agree - I think our defense will hold em and the offense will function at a high enough level to get the win.  Then . . . get ready for a tour of upstate NY as a road warrior throughout the playoffs.

Hope JCU wins whether the game has a name or not! It'd be nice to see 2 OAC teams in the playoffs.

The only reason I corrected you is that I hate the "Battle of Cleveland" name. It implies that the winner is the best D3 team in the Cleveland area... It feels a little disrespectful to Case Western Reserve who has a legitimate claim to that title.

Now "battle of Columbus" for otterbein and capital, totally different story.

CWRU is the only one of the three that is in Cleveland rather than Bereave or University Heights.

I think only regional in the sense that the 500 mile bus rule applies. I don't think there is significant weight given to keeping the matchup within East, West, South, North aside from generic geography.

I agree! I was thinking it would be kind of a 4-5 match-up. I think they would actually win that game. That being said, I could see scenarios where Mount plays the NCAC champ (if it's Denison), and maybe John Carroll draws someone like Frankiln or W&J. The thing about the OAC is all three teams lie in an area where a majority of the field is within 500 miles. Example, John Carroll's last 3 playoff 1st rd opponents were Olivet (MI), Centre (KY), and St. John Fisher (NY). Later round games included a pair of WIAC teams, Wesely, Wheaton, and Mount. That's a very wide geographic area!

Ugh.   I'm rapidly becoming the grumpy old guy that just doesn't understand today's world.  I can't believe we've come to the point where sitting on your butt playing video games is a 'sport'.

Once you get past MHB, the south region looks horrible.   East looks much tougher than the south.
West is always the deepest and 2018 is no different. 
#1 Seeds should be MUC, MHB, UWW and SJU.
