Pretty sure Cangelini has won more games than Moeglin. His performance in the big games is pretty bad. If JCU had Mt, Marietta or BW's QB, they might be my favorite for the Stagg. Moeglin is the guy who makes them one dimensional in the back half of the bracket.

But if you look at his college career as a whole, he willed the team to the win over Mount in 2016, and against Whitewater a few weeks later. He admittedly hasn't been as good the past two seasons as he was then, but he has shown instances in his college career where he could rise to the occasion.

JCU guys and whoever

Everyone around here regards Moeglin as a really good QB. He makes us nervous during a game. I talked to him quite a bit at OAC Media Day. Great kid with a good head on his shoulders. I personally would never think of him as a weak link. Not for a second! And a great looking guy. If he quits football, he could get a movie contract.
He may not always be perfect, but he can burn you at any time. Makes it hard to like him. (Kidding)
So, win your two games, Blue Streaks. We'll hope Mount wins their two games. See you in the quarterfinals and we'll battle it out. What could be better?
Go Raiders! Go Blue Streaks! 🏈😃

From my seat, and I'm around here, but with no dog in this fight, Moeglin is completing less than 57% of his passes and the only person who played worse in the first game than Fulford, was Moeglin. He followed that up with a 12-25 zero TD 1 INT burger against Marietta and a 9-17 for 92 yds against BW. This year he has been bad in the 3 biggest games. I'm sure he has the ability to play better or they wouldn't have him in there. But JCU is a running team 70% of the time and everyone knows it. It came down to Moeglin needing to win the game against Mt in the first game and he gave up a strip 6 on the same blitz he had seen multiple times in the same game.

Teams with Stagg Bowl aspirations need a balanced offense and a QB who makes plays (for their own team!). Moeglin has not been that this year.

If I am Mt Union, I am salivating at a chance to face him again.

May I call you jamto? You know me better than some other posters. You might be right. I hadn't thought of that. Damn, I hate it when that happens.
Now, what were we talking about?  ❓❓❓

Oh, and thanks MiacMan.

You may call me jamto. Or jamtod. My name is based on the members of my family and I have a 4 month old (4-months today actually! Happy 4-month birthday little man!) whose name starts with D. Now that it's the offseason (shame they cancelled the D3football playoffs, but at least we can commence the academic d***-measuring contests, right?) I suppose I should figure out how to change my nickname on here and determine what I should change to (jamtodTommie just doesn't have the right ring to me)

I was hoping we would play BWC in Alliance in the tournament. Send them out of town with a real pasting.
VK actually faked a punt against BWC up 42-7 I think.
It was a great moment in Mount Union football for me.

Didn't get to see Moore play in any JV games, but he or Keeney have got to be able to throw the ball more than Burkes. From their old highlights, they could sling the ball around a little. I'd definitely keep packages for Burkes, but not my every down QB. That way teams must prepare for multiple looks. We'll see what happens if Fulford can't go.

USEE... :)

You are always a poster of reason no matter what conference/game/team is involved.  You do get a bit "tainted" regarding your boys, but darn I hope so!

Mount will be Mount and I am very confident that all cylinders will be cranking when needed.  Don't fret UMU fans, all will be good when needed.   ;) ;D 8-)

I predict Cannelloni will be a man among boys in the playoffs.
