Yeah, that thing I said about the Cru getting out to a quick lead and then turning games in a rout by leaning on their defense and special teams to give the offense short fields via turnovers and/or big returns? Forgot Mount could do that, too, even if their defense is not considered as ironclad as the Crusaders.

It's a pick-party out there.

Haha... Mount's defense won't get as much credit as they deserve. The defense and special teams continually put Mount's offense in great position. That blocked punt bc Robinson pushed the upman into the punter....🤣

Nice to see Fulford playing.  Even better that the Oline gave him a clean pocket, no need to run and stress the ankle.  Get a little playing time and get out.

Centre looks much better along the line of scrimmage than Dension.  Neither team has the speed to run with Mount on the edges.  Centre running game is better Denison,  but Denison QB looks a little better.  Centre vs Dension would be a pretty competitive game, but would put Centre as a TD favorite due to their running game.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Ugly 2nd half for the backup units.

Centre looks really good against the 2s and 3s. To answer the mount broadcast question "where was this Centre pressure in the first half?"  Seriously?

Good to know I was not the only person who noticed that. Where was this Centre team in the first half? Getting Machined by the Starters.

Wow.  Keaney hook slides on 3rd and 1 for no gain.

The next Mount QB is not on the roster

Hopefully Fulford stays healthy and hopefully by the time the next QB has to step up they will be a sophomore.

Yeah not impressed with Keeney.

Or all of Mounts 2s and 3s. Sheesh they should have at least been able to play even with centres starters I'd think

From @d3football Twitter:

D'Angelo Fulford is dressed and warming up for Mount Union. #d3fb

In that case, can I change my spread?   ;)

Um ... never mind.   ::)

Well if d12 plays the whole game you are right on

RPI 21
Brockport 13

Brockport and JCU were supposed to be Mount's toughest challenges. Gone. And this is why we play the games. This is the type of playoffs that makes me a littl concerned in the Semi-final.

2nd D will be punished in practice this week, I fear.  #12 got used over and over again by Centre's #1's.  I thought Centre was a little much constantly throwing against the 2's when Vince had called off the dogs.  Their crowd loved it, but I feel when a team calls off the starters, you run and pass only when you need to for first downs.  I would have been tempted to put back in the starters with about 6 or 7 minutes to go, and put up a couple more scores, but that is me.

Nah. No need to risk injury. Hill came up with a gimpy hamstring, as it is. I am kind of surprised Kehres put in the 1s on defense cold.

HScoach

Yes, the 2nd units are not going to have a happy week.  Very disappointed with the effort of both O and D second units.

I have no problems with Centre playing hard for 60 minutes.   Especially in the playoffs when there is no more "next week" to prepare for.  If it was the regular season then you need to regroup, move on and keep everyone healthy for next week.
