You reckon VK would consider leaving (for another role, obviously not BG)?  I reckon the K's are an UMU institution.

Good to hear from you. It's fun playing someone for the 1st time. Never are quite sure what to expect. Your comments certainly help us understand our opponent better. And, Go Raiders. 😃 🏈

Mount Union is 8-0 in the quarterfinals against first-time opponents with the last being a 70-37 win over Frostburg State last season. A

You're really good. Who would have thought to research that stat? Makes me feel good all over.
Go Raiders! 🏈🍺

We know you love stats so here are some more for you.

Mount Union & Muhlenberg will meet for the first time next Saturday in the D3 playoffs. UMU is 38-2 since 1992 against first-time opponents in the postseason. Mount Union has outscored the 40 teams by a combined 1,719 to 547 or average of 45.2 to 15.1 ppg.

Yes, but nobody west of the Appalachians would have recognized Brockport or Frostburg as legitimate opponents regardless.

Well I know I didn't rank them in the National Top 8. I get that polls are subjective but if I see a team ranked at #4 I dont come to the conclusion they are "illegitimate ". Maybe top 25 should be:
1. Mount
2. UMHB
3. UWW
4. SJU
5-25. Doesn't matter.

These are the four top seeds for the brackets the NCAA should have used.
Mount East
MHB South
SJU West
UWW North
Or some mix of these four, now there is a bracket builder lineup
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Yes but on paper brockport had a very legitimate claim to their seed, they were a national semi finalist last year with a gagliardi candidate qb, and a defense that had some crazy numbers. UWW on the other hand was 7-3 last year and St. John's was a first round loss. Clearly we know that brockport was overrated but again, pre tournament I don't know if you can justify replacing brockport with one of the others.

You must not live west of the Appalachians

Congrats Matt.

That $50k will help with moving expenses to Cleveland.

Question re those horrendous Mount Union uniforms last week:  Were those  throwback uniforms?  If so, okay, I guess.  I'm a history guy,

But if not, damn - who thought that was a good look?

I don't normally geek out on uniforms but . . . smh.

Those are just their normal black jerseys and purple pants that they wear all year.  The combo of black jersey and purple pants is a throwback to when they originally broke out the "black nasties" in the 90's, but those were different jerseys and pants.  They don't seem to wear that combo much these days so maybe that's why it looked odd?

If they've been wearing those pants with the black stripes on the side all year, I fear for Mount's recruiting going forward.

"Come to Mount Union and you too can sport the "Cool Hand Luke" prisoner look!"
