I still disagree, even with HSCoach.. Who did Rutter play against? How many undefeated teams, how many 9-1 teams,  how many 11-1 teams, 12-1 teams?  He played a cupcake schedule and was  average against the only decent, not great, teams his team played.
I sure he's a fine DB QB. So was the Dennison guy.
Think he's good enough to bring back a team in Wisconsin against a great team?  I sure don't.
Think he'd go 26-0 against the lineup Fulford has gone against? Puh..leese.

No offense but I think I could have gone 24 and 2 if I had Hill, Ruth, Petro etc and that defense. I think fulford is a really good QB but he is made so much better by his skill players being phenomenal.

The Denison game is a good example, keeney didn't have to make spectacular throws he just had to be the ball to his playmakers and they did everything else

Desertraider

Muhlenberg is a great example. Fulford didn't do anything. RB played QB and they won a quarterfinal game.

There are only 13 games which are in play -- we're only talking about 2018. What happened in 2017 (and that includes what happened off the field, too) is irrelevant to this year's team, truly.

One 11-2 and three 8-2  An SOS marginally higher than Mt Union.

How are the decisions for all region and all American made? I mean Jared Ruth leads Mount in every WR category and yet Justin Hill gets the nod. Just curious.
BTW on the interview stuff I dont have a problem with Mounts stance. It doesn't seem like a drastic departure from previous years. Maybe lou berry indicated he didn't want to do it? Mount is very team focused. They dont nominate for them of week or whatever that is called.

The interview stuff will be more clear after the season is over.

The most telling part was this: One of our Kickoff contributing writers pitched a Mount Union story to us this week and we figured, sure, we'll let him try. Since he is an alum of Mount Union, we figured maybe that would be more acceptable to the folks in Alliance. Our writer told us UMU was "all for setting me up to speak with Lou.... until he found out who I was with. Things got awkward after that."

So that tells me that it isn't about not wanting to do media as a whole, it's about not wanting to give D3football.com access. And so be it, but after a full year, we just won't be silent about it any longer. That's all.

Former JCU coach Tom Arth is considered the front runner for the Akron job.

Huh I'm surpised by that, he hasn't really had time to do much at Chattanooga, they must have liked him while at JCU.

WOW... that's rude. Geeez, I'm imagining Keith using an alias and fake moustache to get into the press box this weekend.

This sounds very government-ish:  "Just trust us."

You know, I think Nick Saban and Bill Belichick are TREMENDOUS role models when it comes to teaching and coaching football.  But I don't believe they're the guys a person should emulate when it comes to public relations.

Given HSCoach's strong comments on the matter last autumn, I'm surprised there aren't photos posted of him at all stadium access points:  "Do NOT let this man in!"

The reason it appears that d3fb is being specifically blackballed from player interviews will be more clear once the season is over?

I can't imagine how that would work, but you seem confident...

There is definitely some kind of conspiracy going on here.... it leaves little to the imagination.... ... you guys are lucky with the brackets year after year..... WOW Sorry for my language!

Ha.  That must explain why my tickets never seem to be at the will call desk......
