Here's my Annual Breakdown of Returners and Graduating Seniors.

Based on the Two-Deep from the Stagg Bowl, here are the returners for UMU in 2019.  (I don't know if any of the Seniors have a Medical Hardship Year to come back).

1st Team Offense:
QB  12  D'Angelo Fulford (JR)
RB    2  Josh Petruccelli (So)
WR   1  Justin Hill (Jr)
LT  72  Sean Sherman (Jr)
LG  79  Jonathan Bisono (Jr)
C  59  Joey Presutti (So)
RG  70  Jonny Todd (Jr)
RT  68  Brendan King (Jr)
K  84  Cory Barnett (Jr)

Losing:  Herington-WR, Ruth-WR, Moxie-TE

2nd Team Offense:
QB  5  Jake Keeney (So)
RB  28  Matt Garcia (So)
WR 88  Edwin Reed (Fr)
WR  8  Derrick Harvey (Jr)
TE  86  Evan Weygandt (Fr)
LT  56  Stephen Sumner (Jr)
LG  76  Ryan Westrick (So)
C  54  Jake Penko (So)
RG  65  Chad Kiernan (Fr)
K  83  Max Righetti (Jr)

Losing:  Koscielski-RT, Haynes-WR

1st Team Defense:
DE  90  Andrew Roesch (Jr)
N  55  Adam Pastor (Jr)
DT  97  Ethan McComb (Jr)
WLB  43  Tre Williams (Jr)
Spur  5  Mitch O'Hara (So)
CB  27  Gabe Brown (Jr)

Losing:  Brish-Bandit, Robinson-MLB, White-SS, Cox-WS, Berry-CB, Snyder-P

2nd Team Defense:
N  94  Ian Meacham (Jr)
DT  93  Nate Brunson (So)
Bandit  19  Skyler Scott (Jr)
WLB  49  Carson Kovath (Fr)
MLB  46  Caleb Smith (Fr)
Spur  26  Nate Fisette (Jr)
SS 14  Malik Britt (So)
WS  10  Tanner Murray (So)
CB  12  Derrick Bradley (Fr)
CB  11  Jalen Griffen (So)

Losing:  Blanc-DE

Obviously losing the WR Depth on Offense. Fulford, Petruccelli and Hill coming back at Skill.  Only losing a 2nd Team OL to graduation.

Some Big names on Defense will need to be replaced: Brish, Robinson, White, Cox, Berry and the Punter Snyder.  Five out of the Six Defensive Linemen returning.

I've heard a rumor that a very good local player who went D2 this year may possibly be enrolling at Mount this spring. I hope it's true, I really wanted him in Purple, Black and White! This will as depth to the offense.

Duce?
😁😁😁
Not confirmed, just a rumor though...

K & J's Dad,

Great job as usual + k, The Raiders in 2019  are in good position for another playoff run! :)

Hopefully UMU will have better luck with injuries next year.  I think this year's team peaked too early.

My prediction for tomorrow:

Mount 24
UMHB 7

- Defense wins the day for the second Stagg Bowl in a row
- #12 "snaps out of it" and throws for 250 and 2 TD's
- Petro runs for 80+ and a TD
- Justin Hill starts his campaign for the NFL with a big game, including a long TD
- Trey Williams wins MVP due to his 2 Sacks, Forced Fumble, and overall dominance
- Lou Berry makes minimal impact (statistical wise)  because UMHB doesn't even go near his zip code, unfortunately

Here's to hoping I'm right (and #12's ankle holds up)

GO MOUNT!

Works for me but I'd prefer 350 and 3, just 'cause I'm greedy.

Interesting quote from VK after the Johns Hopkins game:  " . . . you have to look at it and be mature enough to recognize the mistakes that were made and why they were made and then take a mature approach to fixing them and trying to regroup and play better in your next opportunity."  Hmmm.

Love me some coachspeak.

There was a great article on Vince and Larry Kehres by Terry Pulto in the Cleveland Plain Dealer this morning.

Game day has finally arrived.  Hope they all play the game of their lives and bring home #14.  Go Mount!
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I'm surprised it wasn't unanimous. After all, it's impossible to judge a team, and cover them professionally, without direct access to the players.

11 hours to go. As pointed out, the d3football guys picked UMHB 6 - 2. So what? Mount is Mount! Playing on the road against a predominately home crowd would rattle a lot of teams. Mount has become hardened to this. You don't win 13 national championships by being wishy-washy. This is my alma mater. These are the Purple Raiders. These men are truly champions!
Go Raiders. Beat The Cru! Bring home #14! You're the best.  ;D  :o  ;D  ::)
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

Those were required by the NCAA. Frank had good discussions, albeit kind of typical sports-talk kind of Q&A, with Coach K and others.

These Stagg Bowls are so hard to predict because sometimes the Stagg goes in a way you'd never have expected based on the semi's or quarters. I think of years where UWW struggled in the semis to score points, only to put up higher than expected numbers in the Stagg. IMO it wasn't because Mt's defense wasn't as good (I know there are some exceptions like 2013 HSCoach), I think it's more about the game plan. I think some teams take a "just win and advance" approach in the semis. Some teams carry that same approach to the Stagg (like Mt last year, UMHB the year before, and UWW in 2011). Other times the teams really open up in the Stagg- like most years.

IMO, if Mt lets the horses run and allows the offensive and defensive players to make the plays they are capable of, I don't think UMHB can hang with the Purple Raiders. Mt has to be smart about the type of passing game they employ, but that's a coaching thing and Mt can coach. Mt has to play disciplined defense against Miller, but that will be a coaching thing too.

I'm going w Mt by quite a bit.
