No rain in the air or on the field.  Decent temperature.  Kid from FL makes one or two excellent plays.  Running game does enough to control the ball when needed.  Defense does the rest.

Mount - 24
UMHB - 14

OR, it goes totally against what everyone is predicting & ends up a 35-34 score with some unforeseen crazy play.   :P

Could be a lot of turnovers with the strong winds. . . .

Desertraider

I dont know what I think about tonight. The reasons have all been discussed in the last week with opinions from all. What i do know is that i woke up this morning and put on my favorite Purple Raider shirt,  Raiders visor, Raiders pull over and Purple crocs.  My daughters all wore their Raiders pull overs and Raider Nation buttons.  Roll Raiders and no injuries for anyone. Safe travels to all and in a few hours....who knows.

Tom Arth to Akron

http://footballscoop.com/news/sources-tom-arth-next-akron-head-coach/

I know this is a great opportunity for Coach Arth. I just have a problem with coaches leaving programs so quickly.  He recruited kids because he was going to be there. But, the profession is very fickle.  If he was 0 and 20 at Chatanooga they most likely would have asked him to leave.  I guess I'm just old fashioned.  I do, however, wish him the best. He was always a classy performer and seemed a good man.

when was the last time a mount rb had a dominant performance in the stag bowl.. 2005?

Nemeth looked pretty dominant in 2015. 30 carries for 220 yards and 2 touchowns.

A performance like this would bring home #14.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Okay it's been a long day, can someone explain the slim comment and why these stats are relevant?

I am thinking he means the likelihood of a Mount RB having a dominant day are slim-to-nil, and he just saw slim leaving. The stats just show that in the biggest games, UMHB has not given up much on the ground (Mitchell's game was solid, but not dominant).

emma17

My assumption is the "slim left town" comment was Edward de Vere feeling there was no chance for Mt to have a running back go 30 carries for 220 yards- like Nemeth did in 2015.

I posted rushing stats from recent big games against the UMHB defense. Every game shows average per carry of 4 yards or greater.
The point? Is it possible too much credit is given to UMHB's smothering defense?

Retired Old Rat

I do now have the show. Audio is bad. I think because they are out in the wind.
