Alex Grinch leaving Ohio State for the DC job at Oklahoma.

Was hoping Ryan Day would push Schiano out the door and give the job to Grinch.

I don't think Schiano will be there either FWIW.  Rumblings in town are that he probably isn't going to be a college DC next year.  Either going to be a college HC again or go back to the NFL as a DC.  He wasn't going to leave his buddy Urban unless it was for a big time job like Tennessee.  Now he's a free agent.

Another Mount Union alumni hits it big. I'm sure it took a lot to pry him loose from OSU. I know his mother in law will be sorry to see her grandchildren move away again. Alex's wife Becky has been visiting her and her brothers regularly since he came back. But how do you pass up a million dollar raise?
If he can not be the number one at OSU, I suppose the next best thing is Oklahoma. Congratulations to Alex Grinch. Who would have thought watching him play in tiny Alliance, Ohio he would be where he is at the tender age of 39? Incredible.

He's got his work cut out for him in Norman.   Who was the last DC at Oklahoma, or even in the Big 12 who coordinated a top 30 defense?

And now Schiano is leaving tOSU.  FootballScoop says tOSU will be hiring Mattison from UM to be new DC.

Right on cue.  You knew there would be major fall out from the disappointing season defensively.  The only person I would have been shocked if he left would be Larry Johnson simply because he has a long track record as a top notch recruiter and developer of DL.  His best guy got injured and that was still the best unit on defense by a mile.

A piece of advice for Alabama...maybe stop wondering what NFL team you could beat and just prepare to play against college teams. Pre-game Bama fans "Roll Tide" post-game Clemson fans "Sore Hide"

Suddenly the Notre Dame loss to Clemson doesn't look as bad.

Mount receives their first transfer of the of season in Andy Foley. He played for Grand Valley State and will be a junior. He played with Petro in high school at Perry. Looks like a big and athletic guy at 6-2, 195 WR.

Awesome, I saw he red shirted in 2017, so as far as eligibility is concerned he's like a sophomore right? Or does d3 ignore the red shirt year if you transfer?

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

He should still have 3 years of eligibility

Skipped that part, you're correct and he will have 3 years to play if he chooses.
