Bleedpurple.....did you look up the definition of ,"effusive", in your research?  Or "'public display of affection?"  Are stating facts released by the Mount Union sports information office, "effusive", or  'public displays of affection?"  Or is it stating simple facts?  I am simply stating facts, out of pride in a Raider QB, and his position coach, who have achieved something very singular.
You say you are simply stating facts, but that kind of ignores context does it not? Before the incessant weekly statements of "facts", you posted this:

Amazing to me that one of the very best quarterbacks in Mount Union football history, DeAngelo Fulford, does not make the D3FOOTBALL preseason All-American team.
It is an insult to Mount Union, and his position coach, who knows a bit about coaching great quarterbacks.
After eating such a huge helping of crow when the presumption of innocence prevailed in the false criminal case, I would think D3FOOTBALL's picker would have lost his taste for crow.
Apparently not.

So your weekly "facts presentation" is not exactly dispassionate is it? It might even be considered "effusive"...

By some of us 'outsiders', might even be considered a man-crush on steroids! :o ;D

It's not just the outsiders that feel that way.  Some of us insiders are with you.  I'm all for supporting your team and it's players, but the "best ever" talk is just crazy.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I'm just shocked that his karma is still so good. He needs to come hang around the karma tanking Johnnies some more to get it back level

D'Angelo is a good QB. Period. He isn't great - he isn't an all time great. He's good. The Berg game showed his limitations. I know it was windy, and wet, and nasty. I have seen those games before with other Mount QB's (Ballard, Borchert and Burke come immediately to mind) and don't recall seeing the offense that one dimensional. Burke threw for 163 on 12-19  (1TD, 1INT) in the 2013 snow fest with NCC. I would say that adding the snow, and temp to the wind and wet makes that game more impressive. And KB threw some absolute dimes in that one. Ballard or Borchert in some of the mud games in Alliance (ah the days before turf) or Borchert throwing for 6 or 7 TDs against Lycoming in 30 mph winds. I don't remember Borchert's passes trailing in the wind.

We talk about this every off season - Mount's Mount Rushmore. D'Angelo is a good QB - he just isn't great.  It's not a dig or knock on him - he just isn't Bill Borchert, or Jim Ballard, or Gary Smeck, or....or....

^ exactly!

If you're comparing QBs, Fulford is closer to Neal Seaman than he is Bill Borchert or Jim Ballard.

And that's not a "negative" statement.  Just accurate.   Stats are a nice discussion point, but it's not the end all.  Measuring play isn't a simple accounting exercise.

Ballard in the Rain and Mud vs. St. John's in 1993 was awesome.  I can't find the Box Score online but remember it live.  56-8 Monkeystomp.

This. And I think this is especially true in gauging a Mount QB. There is such a talent mismatch between Mount and most of the teams on their schedule that game flow and other factors have more to do with the stats than usual. Did several  receivers make an exceptional play and get a ton of YAC (yardage and TD's impacted)? Did the defense create a turnover giving the Raiders a short field (TD's)? Did the Raiders "shut down" sooner more often one year than the next because the blowout came more quickly, etc. In other words, a good QB at Mount could put up great numbers because of the talent around him. Doesn't mean he's great.

ALL THIS FORMER QB TALK MADE ME WONDER HOW THE RECORD BOOKS WOULD LOOK IF KURT ROCCO OR TAURICE SCOTT HAD STARTED A FEW YEARS.. THEY IN MY OPINION WERE 2 OF THE MOST UNDERATED QBS WEVE HAD SINCE THE EARLY 90S...

This!!!

Taurice Scott is one of my favorite QBs of all time. Guy was ultimate team player playing, and excelling at WR (had a top ten season for catches) and I loved the offense with the ball in his hands. To score on the defenses of JCU, Wesley, UWW and St Thomas like they did was an accomplishment.

If I remember correctly, Playoff Statistics didn't count for some of the earlier QBs also.  Borchert and Ballard I think.

In the great QB discussion, I think it's important to remember the types of teams that each of the QB's were on.  The offense that Mount Union runs today is drastically different than what Ballard ran, or Brochert for that matter.

I think  that Fulford probably sits somewhere in the 8-10 range of the best.  If Mount wins the Stagg bowl this year, and Fulford has a great game.  I might bump him up more.  This season in particular is nice to see, because Fulford's mistake have been limited.  (nod to LK).  If he finishes this season with 40+ TD's and 1 interception, that IMO, should get him some love.

Also, I have not read back too far, but has anyone mentioned Micheli?  I'm sure he should be in the top 1-4 category.
