Surprised about how much playing time Plunk is getting early. Good development for next year but surprised to see him in the 1st quarter.

This has been the MO for a few weeks.  They bring Plunk in the 3rd or 4th possession for 2 possessions then back to Fulford.  I like it.  He's getting to run the full offense with the first team unit.  And he looks good doing it.  He carries himself like an upper classmen.

Also, this kicking game is becoming a major concern.  Two medium range FG blocked and a missed PAT already today.  Uuuugly.

Bingo.  Look no further than Alabama today.   ???

Oh i definitely wasn't questioning the decision, just surprised, don't remember seeing a backup seeing significant time quite so early in the past. Wonder if it's an idea from this new QB coach mount has.

I thought the offense, including Fulford, looked pretty sharp most of the time. I thought Fulford threw the the ball well and found the open guys (which happened to be Honest Hill often). I love the guys at WR... Hill, Harvey, Ruby and Reed are all talented and seem to be getting better weekly. I also think part of the fluidness in the offense is Dartt is missing things up well and calling a good game.

Defense played well, but gave up one big play. You can do that when your offense scores a bunch. The Dline got pressure and I feel like that hasn't happened a lot this year with the scheme and some injuries this year.

Big question is obviously the kicking game. I don't even know what to say there other than, it needs fixed or it could make a difference in a big game... Call me Captain Obvious!

That freshman QB for Etta is an athlete.  He can really fly as we saw, but he was also the guy who blocked one of the FG attempts.  Just jumped up from behind the middle of the line and got it.  If he can throw at all he'll be interesting to watch.

JCU might be 9-1, but for the sake of the OAC reputation I hope they don't make the playoff field.  239 yds total offense against a decent BW team?  3.7 yds per play?  Yikes.  That's not a recipe for playoff success.  Especially after the last playoff egg they laid.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

They were lucky to beat BW. I caught the last  10 minutes of the game. JCUs QB threw the ball up for grabs between two BE defenders who somehow missed the ball and JCUs receiver came down with the ball. Their offense is NOT GOOD at all! Caganelli is a very good player, but that's it IMO. I would be very upset if I'm Not Central and they make it over me.

JCU has no passing game whatsoever against any decent defense. Their offense is Canganelli with an occasional Floreia keeper mixed in.  If they make the playoffs their D is going to have to damn near toss a shutout to give them a shot.

I was looking at the stats and noticed Burkes was missing from the receiving stats.  Looks like he is no longer listed on the roster.  Keeney was the holder today.  Wonder what happened?  His touches as backup/wildcat QB and 3rd WR have dried up this year (especially lately) with the emergence of Ruby and Plunk.

I think UWO just put JCU out, because they dropped UWW to Pool C...

To note: on UWW's last 4 possessions, they threw 4 interceptions.

Yep I agree.   I watched the exciting game and I was just about to post the field for the five at-large bids got more crowded.

It would be great to see JCU get in but I think their odds for doing so aren't good enough.

With SJU, NCC and UWW all with a loss, there are going to be some very dangerous teams in the 3 and 4 seed spots.  All of those could be #1 seed caliber teams.

Yes, it's always unlikely that all four #1 seeds will reach the semi-finals.

But this year?  Ain't no way, ain't no how.

The only outside chance John Carroll has now is of the north rankings committee jumps them over North Central, and the selection committee decides to screw over Susquehanna (who objectively deserves the spot more)
