D3Football Scores page needs a little updating. This is 2019 not 2112.

I won't be updating the scores page in 2112, I hope!

You gys are pretty smart!  The scores the first week of the 2112 2019 OAC Playoff Pick-Em rivaled the scores in the other pick-ems, which don't employ spreads.  Early leaders are BillyRayJimBob and HSCTiger74 but only by a smidge.

Round Two spreads will come out Monday night; games will be worth two points apiece.

Off the top of my head

1.  Garcon
2.  Shorts
3.  Bubonics
4.  Hill
5.  Marino
6.  Knestrick
7.  Gollette
Can't really argue here, but it is interesting at how the different guys got it done.  Obviously speed is the greatest gift they had, but Garcon may have been the most physical, Shorts had more overall athletic ability than Bubonics, Bubonics ran fantastic patterns and after the catch was amazing.  Hill has, IMO, made more circus-type catches than anyone I have seen at Mount.  Knestrick was Wes Welker, Marino was tremendously under rated by many, and I loved Golotte.

I would probably move Marino up to 3, Bubonics to 4 then Hill. J Hill has the best hands I have ever seen but Marino was a much better blocker. Of course this leaves off Knapp and I always liked Tim Kennedy - very under rated and under used.

And I think Namdar and Scott might be better skill and talent-wise then some of the players at the bottom of that list but did not get enough run. Namdar is among the better burners I have seen come out of Mount's WR room, and Scott could a man miss in a phone booth. I admit my bias somewhat, but Hill being the only recent player on that list is missing some really good ones.

I think Jasper Collins had to be in a top ten as well.
Roman Namdar was good, but not like the ones mentioned. Great deep threat, but that was it IMO.
I admire Taurice Scott for being the ultimate team player at QB and WR. I feel he had two of the better single seasons at 2 different positions. He would have to be in a different position for Mount Union career rank, like overall athlete. He made all sorts of plays from all over the field and was electric with the ball in his hands.

Anyway, really looking forward to next Saturday vs NCC. I hope some kinks get worked out and I'm looking forward to watching a good game. I was checking in on the NCC/Wabash game and NCC have up lots of drives to the Wabash offense. I think that bodes well for The Purple Raider offense. They WILL be able to pass the ball and the defense just put pressure on Rutter. He's got a great arm and can make all of the throws. I hope a good crowd shows up, even with the OSU/Michigan game going on. I plan to watch the buckeye game on my phone at the stadium with free WiFi😁

I want to say that is underestimating Namdar's other talents because he beat guys so badly and so frequently that it was hard to know if he had other talents because he didn't need them, but that critique is fair enough next to the guys on the list who got to demonstrate their full range of skills. Also agree that we need a separate category for Scott. That are few guys who qualify as "that dude," but he is one of them.

Regarding Mount/NCC, I think Mount Union's defense can slow them down just enough, but I am not sure NCC is going to be able to do the same to Mount. 56-35 ish?

Junior Collins is at worst 6th on that list IMO.

Greetings from Grand Rapids, MI.  Had a work thing this weekend but was able to keep up on Twitter what was happening.  Thoughts:
1.  Either Aurora was much better than advertised or SJU is in trouble.
2.  Everyone (well many) keep putting Linfield up in the "elite or almost elite" but if a team is to remain in that stratosphere you don't lose in the first round.  But that was one HELL of a game.
3.  The NFL (I think) is going to ultimately let us know where J. Hill ranks in the Mount WR pecking order.
4.  HOPEFULLY with special emphasis in practice this week special teams will be cleaned up.
5.  Should be a barn-burner next week and I stick by my earlier prediction of Mount in the 40's & NCC not as much.   ;)

I THINK I will be there next week & I am really looking forward to it.

Go Mount!

Theoretically possible that Aurora is a team on the come, IF it can keep the head coach.  Could be a pretty big if.

Might be a little bit old school but Paul Gulling belongs somewhere on the bottom third of that list too.

Did he have a pass batted down back into his hands?

YUP!

3rd and 19 at REDLANDS48   Luke Poorman pass complete to Luke Poorman for loss of 6 yards to the UMHB46 (Brandon Serrano).

That was on old MUC play from the late 1970s ... the Toth-to-Toth pass.

ohiofan1954

Yesterday afternoon I was driving to Bloominton, Indiana for Michgian-Indiana game and heard some interesting conversation on 1070AM out of Indy before the pre game show came on. This was a sports talk show that actually gave time to someone other then the big 3 in Indiana. This included not only talk about Ball State but also some talk about the various games that included Indiana teams in both D2 and D3 playoffs. The most interesting part of the discussion had to do with the Hanover-Mt. Union game. I will give these guys a pass on this one as they probably have no idea about the rules of how playoff games are scheduled or the strengths of different leagues. They couldn't understand why Hanover who had had such a great season should have had to play Mt. Union. They thought this was total disrespect of both Hanover and the HCAC. They were not taking phone calls so you couldn't call to correct them. I was thinking though someone needs to tell them the HCAC is one of the worst if not the worst league in D3 (that may not be the case anymore without Earlham). They obviously didn't know about scheduling games close to home either.
