And for the 2nd week in a row they reference the black helmets....really?

1 quarter in and zero pass rush from Mount.  Rutter has a nice quick release.   Easily picking DB's apart.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

NCC looking to tie it. No pressure from the Defense. Rutter has all day so far.

Ncc line is big and good. Mount needs to move to 5 LBs and get pressure.

To the dill hole who likes to knock me for posting anything including simply saying mount isn't getting pressure.  Knock this - **** off. See ya pat. Done with the board. No offense intended to you pat. I love what you have built here.

Note to NCC DC.  You can't run 1 on 1 man against Hill.

Completely agree. Have to move Rutter off his spot, because the DBs are not going to be able to keep up today.

So, I was looking over the game notes and noticed that NCC actually averages a shorter TOP than their opponents, im guessing that means they are a very quick strike offense, with a more bend don't break type defense. Obviously I'm inferring a lot from a single stat but I think if NCCs defense is on the field a majority of this game, they are going to have a bad time.

I don't think the historical TOP stat has any meaning at all for this game. NCC is 60%run 40% pass and always has been.  They do start quickly (they have scored on their first possession of every game this year) and I don't think they play from behind very well. So, to me, the start of this game is crucial for NCC.

Again these are the too 2 offenses in the nation and the top 2 rated QBs.  Mt Unions D is #2 (Wheaton is #1 and NCC scores 21 in the first half) and NCCs D is 13.  The stats say shootout but my gut tells me this will be a game in high 20s to mid 30s. Could be wrong and I don't have a basis for that, just my opinion.

Key will be for NCC to limit the big play on D.

So much for my hunches.

And the NCC D gets the first stop... sweaty-palms time for the Raiders.

Note to Mount DC.  You obviously can't let Rutter sit in a clean pocket.

This is one really great game. Very entertaining. And I don't think anyone thought it would be in the high 20s in the 2nd.

As high scoring as it is, it's not even the highest... Salisbury leads Union 42-28 at halftime.
DelVal leads Wesley 14-3 late 2nd in the other game in this quadrant.

I don't see NCC winning this game with the idea they can play man to man on defense against this Mt Union WR core. Mt Union's punter can take the rest of the weekend off.

Now the actual chess-match starts. Whichever team's offense can anticipate or simply overpower (outrun?) their opponent's defensive adjustments will probably come out on top. Mount Union being up by 10 does not comfort me at all.
