That's what I was thinking. Was just trying to will him to Mount.. hahaa.. That'd be a good situation for him if he could get in at a top 25 fcs team and play immediately.

The coronavirus pandemic has made it harder for NFL draft hopefuls to work out and get noticed, but D-III guys are still getting their work in. Adam Turer talked with a half-dozen guys fighting for attention about how they are dealing with the lockdown, including Justin Hill and D'Angelo Fulford:

Good read! Thanks for the information. I have a feeling that at least 2 rookie D3 guys are going to make a team this year. There is some talent there for sure.

This is what I found so far from Twitter only on guys saying they will attend Mount Union next year. Remember, there is no such thing as committing to Mount Union because there is no binding financial agreement. Guys can still go somewhere else if they want. This is just a list to keep us junkies going until summer camp. So far I really like the mixture of local and out of state guys.

I must say that Mount Union coaches are killing it in recruiting for ALL sports! Personally, I really like what Dartt is doing. Some of these guys are getting D2 offers, but coming here.
Fuline has some VERY GOOD local talent coming. Parker from GlenOak is the league player of the year. Adam Chaney, from Carrollton, is the league player of the year from the EBC (formerly NBC). Pucci from Marlington just decided as well. This kid reminds me of Dvontay Friga. Tough, athletic, plays defense and can jump out of the gym... Just a player. I forgot to add McCartney from Hoover. This kid can shoot the ball!
Malave (wrestling coach) is bringing talent too. I don't usually pay attention, but saw something from a D3 wrestling writer that Mount had serious talent coming in, including a couple of higher transfers down.
Lucas (track coach) has some good talent deciding on Mount Union too. It's just a fun time to be a Purple Raider fan!

The other one to add is that men's volleyball is building momentum heading into their 3rd season next year.  Obviously they were painfully young in 2019 for the inaugural season going 8-20.  They ended their shortened 2020 season 11-3.  They had 2 juniors and the rest Fr/So this season so they were still young.

Good luck to all D3 football players hoping to get selected in the NFL draft or get a free agent look. May you dreams come true and you get your shot.  Most would say..."That's all I want, a shot."  I hope you get yours.

Logan Hansen put out his way too early D3 poll. He has

31. Heidelberg
40. Baldwin Wallace
48. Ohio Northern
80. Marietta
113. Muskingum
117. Otterbein

It's not really a poll.  It's his ranking system built on algorithms.

You are correct, I miswrote that. His numbers are usually really good for a computer model. I'm just surprised that the OAC has 5 in the top 50. The top teams look about right and will be fun to watch again (as long as they get to play):
1. NCC
2. Mount Union
3. Wheaton
4. UMHB
5. St Johns
6. UWW
7. St Thomas
8. Hardin Simmons

Imo, it's going to come down to the top 4 teams plus UWW, but UWW needs to be higher. NCC must find a QB because Rutter was a dude last year and was a major reason they win it all. Obviously their Online, RB and WR were very good to, but you must have that QB.

I think this'll be an especially tough year for small school prospects. With the NFL offseason getting truncated in some way, the first thing to get tossed will be rookie mini-camps. That's where a lot of small schools guys get their first bit of acclimation, and even just a shot as a camp body. Hopefully I'm wrong, because I think we've got a strong crop this year.

Pat Coleman

You're probably right, but if we have a season this fall, I suspect the training camp roster will start out larger. Perhaps the practice squad will be larger as well.

Completely agree. Rutter was other-worldly.  The Johnnies need to replace a great QB as well. Both of the "red" teams do have a lot of talent coming back, but the QB's are what set them apart, IMO.  Seeing UMHB ahead of UW-W is a little tough to swallow. But that's when it's important to remember, it doesn't really matter!  If we get to play the season, that's where it will be decided, anyway!  :)
