I think I read something where Ruby sounded like he was planning to come back. If true,  that will be huge!

It won't be huge if the coach comes back!

Not at all impressed with the way ticketing for the Stage is being handled.  NCAA should put the game back in Salem and leave it there.

Sutton's Law.

I.E.  There are a whole lot more D3 colleges within X miles of Ohio than there are within X miles of Oregon.

Also:  If D3 football can get some FREE publicity by being associated with the NFL Hall Of Fame, should D3 football say no?  (I mean, if you've already decided to tell Salem, VA "thanks for the memories".)

It has to start with a city and a group of organizers that want to host the game.  If Shenandoah and Humble can put together approvable bids despite their relatively isolated locations on the D3 map, I don't see why the game couldn't be played in the northwest.  But somebody out there has to want to do it first.

17-1?  Man, tough crowd.

Right? I kind of chuckled when I saw that. I guess when you have the wrong last name, nothing is good enough.

Eh, it is true though, the standard doesn't change, just because it's a new coach.

But to clarify, I'm happy with his first season as coach, every dynasty ends at some point. I'm not saying mount is falling into irrelevance, but a decade of Stagg Bowl appearances can't happen every decade

Dartt isn't going anywhere.  Considering he's married to LK's daughter pretty much assures that unless he decides to leave for a higher level job he is secure in Alliance for as long as he wants.  He will get better as the seasons move on and I am feeling positive about the future for the Raiders.

Much to improve on before next year but I don't doubt that Mount will do so.

Sutton . . . then a proposal to the Portland C of C is in order

Just how to time out when LINFIELD makes it.
Portland is a sports town. LINFIELD is respected in the NW, ànd would draw 4,000 or more.
Hell! an UMU - LINFIELD pre-conference  game would too.

Even when Linfield doesn't make the game? That's the issue.

Imo, Dartt will make the corrections needed to get back to the Stagg Bowl. I'm not concerned yet.  The team will be back.

VK went 14-1 his first two seasons losing in the Stagg bowl both times.

I think Dartt has done well taking over the program.  NCC, UMHB and UWW have certainly caught up and with so many D2 schools in Ohio now, it makes it harder to recruit.

I do think only rushing the ball 17 times vs NCC was a mistake.  I'm sure the Petro fumble might have had him gunshy to keep running the ball.

But since VK and LK are not coming back, I'm good with Coach Dartt leading the program.
