Here's a list that I've gathered so far for guys who have "commited" to Mount Union publicly. There are definitely some talented players so far and addressing some needs on the defensive line.  I could see some guys pushing for playing time in the fall.  I don't think I've ever said this before,  but Joey Dilalla, the Kicker/Punter, could make an impact and improve the specials teams play instantly.

Jacob Climer WR Pataskala, OH
Donny Cheffo TE Hubbard,OH
Connor Adelman RB Louisville, OH
Ethan Pytlak LB Naperville,  IL
Tejon Brooks DB Cleveland Central Catholic,  OH
Caleb Foltz WR Arlington,  OH
Cedric Diggs DT Plano East, TX
Drew Garcia RB/WR Commerce,  MI
Brandon Bowden DE Gainesville,  FL
Joey Dilalla K/P West Geauga, OH
Jaqai Neal DB Manvel, TX
Owen Gibbs LB/SS Oregon,  OH
Ryan Farrell DE Medina, OH
Zachary King DB Medina, OH
Kamren Moore DT Haltom City, TX
Greg Rockwell OL West Branch, OH
Michael Franklin RB Sandusky,  OH
Giovanni Kennedy OL St Eds, OH
Michael Lally OL South Range, OH

Mount was very active in the Chicago area this year and got one right from NCC's backyard.  Ironically, an OL from Ohio just "committed" to NCC last week. You believe it when they show up on day 1 of camp.

Not football, but

The Mount Union men's lacrosse team is undefeated.
(OK, they've only played one game.) Still.............. ;D

I just saw that former Raider TE Lane Clark sadly passed away.  Far, far too young.  RIP.

Just saw this on Lane. Don't know him personally,  but he gave so much for his team.  He was never publicly recognized,  nor did he receive tons of stats, but he had a great 2 games to help win the championship in 2015 with 5 catches, 90 yards and 3 TDs vs Wesley (Joe Cllahan) and St. Thomas.

Lane was a thumper of a TE.  It wasnt only his big game against Wesley and two TD's in the Stagg Bowl in 15, but he was a huge part of the absolute beatdown of UWW in the semi's and Logan, Taurice and BJ running for miles and miles in '15.  Lane was the size of an extra OL, but the dude was an athlete.  Very heavily featured in the '15 Stagg Bowl highlight https://youtu.be/eUO1wX-iwjY

From what I have heard, he was loved by his teammates.  Rest in peace 45

Only one from FL?  Looks like the pipeline moved to Texas.

The Small College Recruiting Fairs in Florida were in Mid February. I'm assuming it will take a bit for the FL Athletes to submit their applications and gain admission before "committing" to schools.

love the focus on punter.  those 9, 9, 15, 17 and handful of sub-30 yarders were killers in the postseason

For the next few years, recruiting for the Raiders will be the key to their success. I am not sure this current
coaching staff has what it takes to come close to what Coach L. Kehres did at Mount for recruiting. ::)

With COVID throwing a wrench in things I think we have to give them a chance to put together a couple "normal" recruiting classes.  Get kids on campus, come to a home game, etc.  I'd say last year was pretty normal so this year needs to be a strong class.

It's going to take more than a few good recruiting classes for Mount to get back to championship form.
And players must get that "fire" that past Raiders teams have had. Haven't seen much of it recently!
Some coaching adjustments should also be in order. "Being in the Kehres family" is not being a Kehres!
Just some thoughts from an alumnus who has watched more than a few games.
Might not have the in-depth knowledge of many of you, but, hey, I bleed purple too.
Go Raiders!  :D

that "Kehres family" coach is now one of the more experienced coaches of a D3 contender, think about that one.  The team needs "fire" for sure, but changing head coaches during the weird covid years certainly did not help Mount, but Dartt will be ok...just run the damn ball a little bit more

Coaching isn't easy and it can be tough on a family.  Good luck Coach Finotti. There has been a BIG change in the D3 football coaching world this year!
