I couldn't believe that NCC let that Wheaton team back into it.  NCC has a couple of studs (Greenfield is the best RB since Kmic), but such a runaway #1 team shouldn't be within a TD to Wheaton multiple times for a big night game at home

The last time Wheaton possessed the ball with a chance to tie the game was 5:12 1Q.  Their adjustments in the second half were good and made the game interesting in the fourth quarter, but NCC never had to defend a single-possession lead after the first 10 minutes of the game.

No doubt, NCC is light years ahead of Wheaton.  But the incredibly slow Wheaton team was able to claw their way back into the game multiple times.  NCC should have had an easier time with Wheaton, at home, on homecoming, at night.  NCC should have ran away with that game

Not sure we can just toss this statement around casually as if universally accepted as fact.

You don't hang with a top 5 team if you're "incredibly slow" and Wheaton's done it twice this year. They lost in Overtime to Trinity (#5 in the d3fb poll) due to a blocked kick.

Also... the fact that it's at home or homecoming pales in comparison to the fact that this is a little brass bell game. These rivalry games are always tough between these two teams.

I guess maybe you could take away the word "incredibly".  But maybe if they weren't so...slow...they wouldn't have two close losses

Eh... I'm thinking it's more that the #1 and #5 teams in the country might just make Wheaton look slow in comparison, but I see what you mean.

#10 in Massey and #14 Logan Hansen, #5 in d3fb... at the very worst Trinity is a top 15 team.

On reflection this week, I'm thinking perhaps I and the poll are a little high on Trinity.

However, I believe that Trninty runs the table and ends up as #1 in Region 3.

They may well do that, but it doesn't have a ton of relevance to a national poll.

You realize that they can't put anything out until they get Heidelberg's info.

The starting QB and RB (Sims/Yearby) for Berg aren't listed and didn't play last week... interesting.  Also, how is Blackiston still playing?  Shouldn't he be about 30?

Looking forward to my first game this season tomorrow. Should be a good one (at least on paper). I want to see Mount impose their will, control the LOS, and run the ball. Everyone knows Mount can go deep and are big play capable - but for playoffs they need to do more consistently. Thankfully, there is a brunch - so my daughter is now excited to come as well.
