Maybe both. Any word on Ruby? Didn't see him  on the sidelines but then again I couldn't really make out numbers  from the bleachers

The starters played longer in this game despite the sizable lead. Were they working on something for next week, or just getting ready for the playoffs?

Getting ready for JCU and playoffs. The question is where is Wayne Ruby? He was on the 2 deep chart, maybe an
injury or rest? Hopefully nothing else?

If the Raiders win the next two games, how will the NCAA slot them for the playoffs? Based on where standings/ratings
are now, my guess would be in a bracket that does not face North Central in the semi's. We will see! :-\

I am usually surprised by the brackets, so take with a grain of salt.  If I had to guess, I would say that, yes, Mount and North Central would be on opposite sides. I'd also guess that St. John's, Bethel, and UMHB would all stay on the NCC side and the WIAC winner will be sent to Mount's side.

he was on the sideline in sweats, invovled in team huddles. it seems like he came up limping a time or two earlier in the season.  probably nothing more than just getting him an extra bye week before the two hardest hitting games of the season and then the playoffs

D3FB fans are going to be so unhappy when the NCAA saves some bucks and puts Mount with the eastern teams and the Region 6 mess goes to NCC

Thanks, 68. My heart has held up through this crazy season, so that's good. Hope you are well, too!

no Ruby today?
He parlayed the NIL into something where he only has to play on Tuesdays.   ;D

I've actually wondered if he received a NIL deal. He certainly deserves it with his production and the publicity he gives the university. I just hope he's ready to play for the next 7 weeks!

Do any d3 athletes have NILs?

Pretty sure they've been doing something like that in TX for years

Wittenberg has a section for applying to support athletes on its athletics page. I can only imagine a few have gotten one.

There definitely are. I read something that the average NIL deal for D-III student-athletes is like $45 and that sounds reasonable.

Probably equal to the free meals I got when playing high school sports from local restaurants. I'm sure the top D3 players could get some nice money though in the range of $10,000 or something like that. Is that outrageous? Think about someone that is a Gagliardi winner or finalist.
