Eh I don't think there will be any outrage if mount gets a home semifinal. It would be pretty obvious as to why an undefeated and #2 ranked team would host a one loss opponent.

Mount was rightfully on the road for semi finals in 2016-2017 it's not like the committee is completely unfair in favor of mount

I think you may be underestimating the MIAC/Johnnie fans lol. From an outsider(ish) POV I think St. Johns has the better quality wins & maybe a very slight lean to the eye test as well will have to compile better wins to get to the semis. With that being said we have seen undefeated teams get to host and be higher seeded regardless of who they've played so I wouldn't be totally surprised either.

Per his profile info hasn't posted since last year, but apparently last active today? Weird.

I hop on every once in a while to see what's going on.  Haven't been to a game in a couple years and don't have anything to add.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Okay, I'll bite.  Why?  I hope your health is okay.

I'm thankful for another Saturday to watch my the Purple Raiders in the playoffs tomorrow. Enjoy every week and every win! Hoping we can get better crowds each week and they continue to win. I rewatched the 2012 UMHB semifinal (someone just uploaded the entire game) and that was an amazing crowd to be a part of. That game, UWW and JCU games have been the loudest to me. To me it also shows that there truly have been 4 or so challengers each year in D3 and it hasn't only been Mount at the top.

I moved to FL in 2003. I've been present for the UMHB, ONU and JCU home losses.

I think I've been banned from attending any more home games.

Desertraider

I meant to get back and post about the first round game but never made it. Oh well. The game day was great. Went to brunch and EVERYONE was talking about the Miracle. It was actually funny. I was standing in line for brunch and was listening to the exact same conversation at three different points from three different groups. Group in front "no he ran to the endzone" group at the back of line "the ball just bounced off the helmet" and the group sitting to the right "he caught it and then managed to stay in bounds" and then all of them simultaneously "no the BW kid was a transfer from Mount". Then I go in and get some food, sit down and it was a repeat with 4 completely different groups at separate tables around me. I walked from the seating area with the cafe tables and heard the story from different people at tables, at the coffee area, in line for an omelette (really awesome omelette BTW), the pizza station. It really was funny.

I was helping a guy get the video of the play on his phone to share with his brother, and then the view from the BW side. Didn't know who he was but sent text links and his phone kept freezing and wouldn't open them. Like 20 minutes later he walked over to my table and says "hey they just came through" and then says "I heard the Mount Union site has a different one"..so I sent that one as well.

Any way - got to the game and it went as expected for the most part. Look Mount was not going to get a test from an option team in round 1. But the D for Salisbury played really well. Mount earned the points and for the most part had to put together drives and move the sticks to keep it going. Mount did not come in and blow them away. I was a bit disappointed to see Mount seem disorganized and slow with play calls in the 2nd half. I kept waiting for "tempo" and it never seemed to get there. Maybe by design, IDK.

The most annoying thing....the Mount fan sitting in section 3 on the covered side - all the way at the top - who decided to "call" the game for his family/friends around him. Every time..."the Salisbury steaks...", "the steaks"...and for some reason "Kent State would do....". He did this the entire effing game. If you are reading this (and you know who you are) - you are an annoying ass hat! I kept turning around to say "will you shut the f up" but my friend kept say don't, let it go. So I listened to her and said nothing. Next time, next time.

First time in 24 years not being with Skunk & his family for this game.  I did get to watch on the computer & Mount is showing signs of being much better than folks have said on here.  Just keep winning & advance.  Heck of a comeback by Del Val so Mount will have a stronger challenge next week.

hopefully with OSU not playing in the Big Ten title game, Mount can get a better crowd next week. With Wartburg winning Mount should be home until the Stagg Bowl.  Gotta get more people to the game

thanksgiving weekend games are always sparsely attended all the students are home for the holidays and lots of other fans are usually traveling. Next week should be better attended.

can't be any worse.   Mount has a pretty favorable path to the Stagg Bowl ahead.  Let's hope alumni and campus can create some sort of home field advantage
