For the first time... in ages ... Mount is playing less than an hour from me .... and just so happens I will be in South Carolina for the weekend.

For those of you visiting, make sure you get to New Hope/Lambertville.  Lots of great eateries and stores.  Wonderful towns on the Delaware.  The Lambertville Inn is right on the water and a great hotel if you are looking to make a weekend of it.

SC.
Hobart hosted Mount Union in the first round in 2016. It was great game in super windy conditions. Hobart tied the game 21-21 late in the third quarter , that the Purple raiders erased pretty quickly after 2 Hobart turnovers and a very effective rushing game with a back named Mitchell, I think. That was not the best Purple Raiders team but they were very impressive , never panicked and went about their business. Purple Raider fans were very respectful and deserve a lot of respect for their program. Good luck against Delaware Valley, it's a lovely area for a road game.

GoogleMaps shows it as a ~2+30 drive up into Pennsylvania for me.  If the weather stays favorable, I am leaning towards making the up and back in the same day.
I do much prefer the 20 minute drive to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis to watch the Purple Raiders play, though.   ;D

Yup ... We are going to make the drive up and back to the game tomorrow.  Talked (shamed) the oldest Daughter (MUC '04) into coming along.
If you see us, stop by and say, "Hi."  We should be easy to spot, as we will be wearing purple.   ;D

I saw today that Manning has been let go as OC at Iowa State. Tough on Campbell/Manning as their ties Bo back to Mount Union.

Did DelVal really try to sneak a coach onto Mounts sideline?

That fake handoff sprint RPO play is awesome. Dartt used to run that with Kevin Burke on those 2013-2014 teams.

Definitely a "conflict of assignment" play

I'm a MT fan most of the time including today. But I am rooting for a close game so I was pulling for DV to make some plays.
This is one of the most undisciplined teams I've ever seen, making it nearly impossible to pull for them.
MT looking good except for fumbles.

DelVal a 2nd tier team at best.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

WRMUalum13

How come del Val was able to advance their own fumble? Am I confused on the rule

WRMUalum13

Boy sloppy 2nd quarter. Should be 21 or 28 to nothing

D3fanboy

Calm the boys down at half.  Between the stunt in the first half and Mount matching penalties, that's all that's keeping DelVal "alive"

Dr. Acula

No offsides on that PAT?  I audibly laughed in real time because it looked that bad.

Any more info on this?  That's was really strange. And no flag thrown

WRMUalum13

5 personal fouls... unbelievable.

I think the DelVal player (#48?) high-fiving the guy as he ran off towards the DelVal sideline is pretty telling
