is d3football.com going to have any articles this week?  seems pretty light for a Stagg Bowl week

It's light so far, for sure, and we will. There was no Monday media conference sponsored by the NCAA this year, and Mount Union did not respond to our request for early-in-the-week access. But North Central did, and our story on them will go up later this afternoon.

Mount Union's appearance at Media Day at the Stagg is later this afternoon and Greg Thomas is there to get whatever he can and write tonight.

Why the media silence from Mount Union through the years?  School policy? Coach policy? Just curious. I feel like it takes away the spotlight on the UMU kids during a great week for them.
Was wondering this myself.  Even had a friend, who doesn't frequent the boards other than Stagg week send me a message asking, but I didn't have anything to tell him.

The gist of it is:

D'Angelo Fulford was arrested during the playoffs a few years ago.

D3Football.com reported on it (IMO rightfully so).

MTU was not happy on how it was covered and has not responded to media requests since then.

Mount Union v North Central (-4.5)

Although I drive past it often enough, my one experience inside Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (Air Force @ Navy) a couple of years ago had the "Home" side on the west (southwest) side of the stadium, and the "Visitors" on the east (northeast) side.  Parking Lot 6 is on that "Visitor's" side, which is probably why the ticketing web site is telling Mount Union Fans to buy parking passes for Gate 6.
Heading south (southeast) on Rowe Boulevard (from US 50), looking to the right, you will see the "Home" stands/seats on the far side, and the back side of the "Visitor" stands on the near side.

Since I live 20 minutes from the stadium, I had planned to attend regardless of would be playing.  Since my beloved Purple Raiders are involved in the fray, four additional family members will accompany me.  Two that have been to previous Stagg Bowls (Salem VA) with me do not have a combined stellar record ... 3-2 (St. John's, St. Thomas, and UMHB on the "win" side, and St. John's and UW-Ww on the "loss" side).  I am only slightly better at 5-2, gaining solo attendance "wins" against Lycoming and Bridgewater.  (The Air Force and post-retirement jobs did not always have me living within a reasonable distance for most all of the other games/appearances).

If Mount is to win #14 tomorrow night, it's going to take a 1993-esque performance.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

This year's Mount Union season reminds me a lot of the 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes. That team had a bunch of narrow regular season wins and were sometimes called the "Luckeyes." Due to barely squeaking by and needing overtime to win a few games. They also made it to a national championship game where they were heavy underdogs to the University of Miami. They found a way to win in double overtime.

Some teams just find ways to win football games, this years Raiders keep finding ways to win games, hope they can figure out tomorrow!

Greetings all!
Does anyone know if streaming of the game will be available without signing up for ESPN+?  I don't have ESPNU & would prefer not to have to head to a sports bar down here in Raleigh.

It's great to see Mount back in the Stagg.  I would put them at a 10 point underdog but stranger things have happened.

Great minds think alike - and so do ours.  I keep thinking about that game and how Ohio State won as a heavy underdog by doing something unexpected, running the quarterback Craig Krenzel and frequently straight up the middle.  And I wonder if Mount can do something equally unexpected and equally successful.

4.5 seems awfully low.  Who would take Mount Union only getting 4.5 points?

D O.C.

Wonder what the Vegas odds are on bouncing the ball off a Cardinal helmet into the hands of a UMU receiver standing in the end zone on the last play of the game to win a 14th W&B?
