Greetings all!
Does anyone know if streaming of the game will be available without signing up for ESPN+?  I don't have ESPNU & would prefer not to have to head to a sports bar down here in Raleigh.

It's great to see Mount back in the Stagg.  I would put them at a 10 point underdog but stranger things have happened.

Don't think it's available but worst case scenario ESPN + is only $11 for 1 month, probably cheaper than going to the bar

BillyRayJimBob.......I eat breakfast at Heggys nearly every day. I would be happy to ship your wife a box of their chocolates. Just let me know and I'll get your address. My nephews own it. If she has any particulars, dark or light or just assorted, peanut brittle or pecan turtles just let me know. My email is jkmds@aol.com.

You win! You always do!

Three outstanding WRs with speed
A senior QB with the ability to win close games
Team speed on defense
Speed on special teams

I see Mount winning in a close game.

Oh, I forgot...we have LK and an incentive for a payback. IMHO.

Just for balance I've added the other teams' counter to your strength:

Three outstanding WRs with speed VS a D1 Corner who took away MHB's best WR and a DL that gets after the QB
A senior QB with the ability to win close games VS a motivated group of returning Stagg Bowl participants that haven't had a close game because they have been much better than everyone
Team speed on defense VS a power running game that comes right at you, requiring a level of physicality, and a QB who is probably faster than anyone else
Speed on special teams vs Speed on special teams

I think UMU has the best QB in the land and one of the very best WR's with plenty of other WR talent. They have to use those weapons to control the clock and take away the pass rush of NCC
**I think they will have to use their speed to try and disrupt NCC on 1st and 2nd down and get them into 3rd and long and see if Luke L can beat you with his arm (not using play action/RPO)
UMU has to play a clean game (turnovers, penalties, sacks, special teams)

**this is the area I have the most questions. UMU can do the other things, not sure if they have the dogs to do this.

No offense (and I do truly mean that), I just don't see a team that needed a fluke bounce to beat BW five weeks ago all the sudden going out and beating a team that just steamrolled the defending national champs. I could be wrong-that is why you play the game- but honestly this Mount Union team beating this North Central team would count as one of the biggest Stagg Bowl upsets in recent years, IMO

If Mount is to win #14 tomorrow night, it's going to take a 1993-esque performance.

This year's Mount Union season reminds me a lot of the 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes. That team had a bunch of narrow regular season wins and were sometimes called the "Luckeyes." Due to barely squeaking by and needing overtime to win a few games. They also made it to a national championship game where they were heavy underdogs to the University of Miami. They found a way to win in double overtime.

Some teams just find ways to win football games, this years Raiders keep finding ways to win games, hope they can figure out tomorrow!

Or, in the case of the 2002 OSU v. Miami game, sometimes officiating crews show they are not at all ready for primetime.  ;) 8-)

Ha. I wouldn't go that far. A team with 13 national Championships in the last 29 years, who is a Vegas 4.5pt underdog, doesn't register for me as any kind of historic upset.

Not speaking about the program histories, I'm talking about the 2022 iterations of each team. North Central has looked completely unstoppable so far

Well, they looked pretty good a year ago too and we all saw what happened. By the way, that MHB team wasn't considered a serious contender (by most) until after their win over Linfield. They were down 28-7 to Hardin Simmons at half during the season and came back to win by 6, then won a yawner in the playoffs over Trinity 13-3. There was no talk about them being a championship team. Linfield was the Prince of the Ball that year followed in some order by UWW and NCC. MHB's domination of NCC  a year ago surprised just about everybody. Pat evens says so in the QuickHits.

So surprises definitely happen. I have watched enough of this Raider team to knw they belong in this game and they are #2 for a reason. A win tonight would be surprising, but not a shock at all.

Exactly.  If the refs had called the blatant pass interference Miami committed against OSU near the end of regulation, OSU would have run out the clock and the game never would have gone to overtime.

Fortunately, OSU won the game anyhow.   ;D
