That has to be the record by about 6 months!

I notice that Junior Collins is listed as OC.  Was that the case in the fall or is that new?

It was listed that way for the fall also.

All four starting OL back plus back from injury Max Craig, who started the '20/21 seems like a likely strength for the Raiders.  Losing Parker at RB might sting, but hopefully the RB room gets a little help from the portal or freshmen

Mount just picked up a transfer QB from Sul Ross State who started out at Akron. Tyler (TJ) DeShields, 6-4 220, from West Branch started a handful of games for Sul Ross before injury and put up impressive numbers.  Two years left of eligibility.  TJ is the older brother of Dru who is a '23 Kent State commit that would look fantastic in purple and white.  I have no idea what this means for '23 with Plunk around, but I agree with Mount bringing in as many top guys as possible.  Competition is needed in Alliance

That would certainly be interesting. The Sul Ross website lists him as a redshirt junior but since he only played four games last year, he indeed ought to be able to reclaim that season. He didn't do great against UMHB the last time he faced them, but that was 2021 and facing UMHB is a little less difficult when you've got Mount Union's personnel around you.

I believe that is called a "bridge QB".  23-Plunk, 24-Beaudrie/DeShields, 25- Beaudrie/maybe younger brothers of transfers

unfortunately for some media outlets, the Mount QB room is definitely stacked for the next few years

The Third Division

Wait a minute. If plunk is coming back, does that mean he's gonna be a galliardi finalist for the 3rd straight year??

Plunk was only a finalist in '22

The default state of the Mount QB room is "stacked," so I'm not sure who you think is disappointed by this so-called news. :)

TJ is currently almost 24 years old with two years of eligibility left.  CRAZY.

His first season (Redshirted) at Akron was in 2018.

All the Deshields boys were held back in HS for athletics reasons and were aged 19+ for their senior seasons. Driving to 8th grade, etc. were always the jokes made by opposing schools. So being 24 and only a junior is SOP for the family.

I know it is par for the course these days with the portal, but I have zero expectations he stays for more than 1 year and will go to another OAC school to start as a senior. Capital has some experience in this dept. Maybe he should give them a call.

I'm going to be sad when the day comes that no one makes Dr. Pentello jokes on here anymore.

I heard Rocky recently applied to the NCAA for a COVID year and was approved for one more season.
