I really hope that some other OAC teams are "relevant" in '23.  The conference gets a real shot to show out in week 1 (and give Mount a higher SOS).

Berg @ Hiram Thurs

ONU @ Alma
OWU @ Otter
St John Fisher @ Etta
Wooster @ Wilma
Ferrum @ Muskie
Denison @ Cap
Mount @ Defiance
UWW @ JCU
Mt St Joe @ BW

a whole lot of home games for the OAC and a couple of shots at program defining wins on a national level.

another former EBC back that looks interesting is transfer Steven Marra from Ashland, by way of West Branch.  6' 206 is a nice change up from the smaller backs that Mount has been running out there lately.

Marra is a bruiser. Was a heck of a wrestler too. Outstanding pickup for Mount. Could see him contributing right away.

The Carrollton kid is intriguing for sure. Has some Kmic to him. He was the entire Carrollton offense these past few years and led them to some good wins in a conference dominated by high level QB play.

I don't peruse the page like I once did but I just spent a few minutes catching up on the last 5 or so pages and wondered if the OAC still has any other teams besides Mount Union?  The thread is the "all things Mount" rumor board.  lol

Sorry.  Back to your Purple Raiders content...

Good to see you, reality check. Hopefully your bears give you reason to come around more often.

all-ohio LB and state placing wrestler....sounds like we got a short yardage back

FWIW Marra is listed as a LB on the initial roster.

I did notice that there were only two freshmen QB's.  With Beaudrie's departure I assume Deshields is the backup, but he's listed as a senior.  I guess we'll have to see if there's an heir apparent on the roster elsewhere.

glad to see an updated roster.  My favorite freshman is Eian Nelson, 5-4 115 lbs of pure fury at the BANDIT spot and a 6-5 255 freshman from Germany?

Others have to post.  I'm not going to post stuff for the Flaming Pile or the JCU Skid Marks.  Is any other team relevant?  Maybe the ONU Teddy Bears every 10 years or so (no offense to Coach Paul).

It's a vicious cycle.  There's not much reason to post about my alma mater when 98.7% of the posters are UMU folks.  I'd be talking mostly to myself.  Don't get me wrong, I wish all the schools had the representation that Mouont has.

MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

I'm a huge ONU fan week one.  It's a tall task, but I hope ONU can get the OAC a huge OOC win

sounded like JCU handled CWRU pretty easily in the scrimmage today

Where  did Beaudrie go?  I am not surprised, and would have counseled him to leave.  He was way too good to be sitting.  I wish him all the best.

If my memory is correct he posted on Twitter earlier that he was taking the fall off and assessing options in January.

Both the 2023 OAC Pick-Em and the 2023 WIAC Pick-Em contests are up and running.

There are Thursday night games in both pools so make sure you get those picks in before the games start.

Everyone pick safely!  :)

Yes.  I think he's coaching HS football (maybe at his alma mater) this fall and is looking to enroll somewhere new in January.

For all those who cannot make the trip to Defiance, I just spoke to their athletic department and they do live stream off their athletic website on the day of game. Pretty much the same procedure that all use for log in.
