Berg has 19 yds of offense at half.

D3fanboy

weather looks pretty gross, so maybe that is affecting the ball.  But Plunk has to play better.  Overthrew one wide open TD on a 3rd and long and underthrew another TD resulting in a pick.

Good opponent for the Sophomore QB to have his first start since the starter is hurt, which they actually swapped him out with another QB in the 2nd.  My Berg didn't even get a single first down on their own, the like three all came from penalty.

Etta (down 21-0 at one point) with a TD to cut the JCU lead to 24-21 in the late 3rd

UWW will need to win @ River Falls next week or they will likely be on the outside looking in come playoff time.  Wild

Yep, it was fixed pretty quickly.

One of the quirks of the new NCAA stat program most schools are using is that it goes from "0:00 3rd" to "0:00 4th" and only after that does it put the 15 minutes on the clock. If you load the live stats at the wrong time, it looks like the game is over.

I don't want Plunk running all of the time, but when he pulled that read option play, it sure opened things up for a little bit. The offense just seems to get serious when they want to. I just hope the defense stays healthy and continues to work!

It was also nice to see Marietta give JCU everything they had and then some. They had a serious chance to tie or win. On the last drive, that receiver surely thought he caught that ball on the sideline. JCU is tough, but vulnerable.

From a playoff perspective, I think the OAC gets one team into the playoff if Mount wins out. With UWW losing and limited Pool C spots available, the WIAC will certainly get 2 teams and maybe a 3rd. Their resumes will be tough to beat.

He sure thought he caught it, but the video replay sure looked like not a catch, to me anyway.

I have to say, I was very impressed with Marietta on Saturday. Honestly, they're 3-2, but considering that's a respectable result against Mount and by 3 against John Carroll, I think they are actually a pretty good team this year. At this point, I expect them to a great chance to finish 8-2. It's weird, but had a few plays had gone differently Saturday, we might be close to 9-1 Marietta having a shot at the post season. That's a huge leap for their program, and it's good news for the conference as a whole to hopefully have another solid team

with the Heidy QB situation, there really is no reason why Marietta shouldn't finish 8-2 and be regionally ranked and getting votes in the polls.  Closest games for both teams that defeated the Pioneers.

I am seriously questioning how Cap beat someone.  That was baaaad.  I was listening to the radio feed and I believe heading to half 56-0 they said Cap had 14 yds of offense and zero first downs.
