I hate to see such large scores on fellow OAC schools. The Purples tried to stop scoring on both Muskie and Capital. You had to see it to believe it. Mount Union's third team would have blasted them both. What does a coach do? In my opinion, the only time the Purples have really gone after a team was the obliteration of Marietta with 84 points. That was due to the Marietta football team's harassment of the Purple basketballers during a game at Marietta. A certain senior football coach was stirred to anger.
So you're trying to say that LK ran the score up on Marietta because their football team was cheering at a basketball game?
I looked it up and it was BJ Mitchell who scored the last TD with less than 3 minutes to go in the game. But Still, That doesn't sound like the Coach Kehres I know.

Speaking of a certain former HC, anyone know why he is not listed on Mount's coaching roster page? I thought he was QB coach this season?

not that the Mount game notes have ever been gospel, but DeAndre Parker and Mason Fortner are both listed as starters after being out against Cap

Dr. Acula

If Parker was dinged up I'm glad they wisely let him recover last week.  With multiple capable backs no reason to push it against Cap.  Gonna need Parker the runner and pass catcher in the big games.

Hello All,

While I will be following from afar WashU's efforts against North Central Saturday, it won't be idle following.

I will be in the midst of my Rett Gets Rocked 2023 24-hour ultramarathon at WashU to raise awareness of Rett syndrome and research funds to find a cure.  I'm starting around 8:00 Friday night (after I provide the call for the WashU-Saint Louis U. swimming and diving meet), and ending at 8:00 Saturday night.

Rett syndrome is a neurological disorder caused by a gene mutation on the X chromosome.  It lays in the weeds until a child is between 6-18 months old, just when a child is learning to walk and talk.  Rett is like Lucy in the Peanuts comic strip when she pulls the ball away from Charlie Brown, as he tries to kick it.  Unlike Charlie Brown...when Rett pulls the ball away from children, they don't get a chance to get up and try again.  Children go into severe neurological regression; many end up in wheelchairs and most lose the ability to talk and to do sign language.  Those with Rett also are prone to seizures, extreme nerve pain, GI issues, breathing abnormalities, and eating difficulties that can all be life-threatening.

Researchers are relentless, providing hope on two fronts.  Back in March of this year, Daybue became the first FDA-approved drug to target the effects of Rett syndrome.  Daybue helps blunt some of the seizures and has helped improve some vocal and gross motor skills.  Gene replacement therapy clinical trials in two North American locations have helped one patient sit up independently for the first time in a decade, and to grasp objects for the first time since infancy.

It is this momentum of hope and progress that I am trying to assist and perpetuate.

The families of children who have Rett and fight a tough fight every day, will be very grateful for your help.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and enjoy the games this weekend!

I'm seeing more of the Wilmington facilities than the game on their video.  Halfway through the second quarter and the video still says it's first quarter.  What a joke.

And no clock!

I mean I think Mount the only OAC team that has a clock on their streams, I seen some of the other schools like over the years show a second video stream in the corner thats shows the scoreboard clock but those seem to come and go with the seasons.  ;D

D3fanboy

no Parker, but Mount is doing exactly what they should be doing on both sides.  In more shocking OAC news, The Capital University Football Team has somehow scored 10 first half points on JCU

The chewing coming through on the Wilmington feed is killing me.

Loss by St. John's today is huge as regards Pool C selections.  Don't know if it would ultimately matter to John Carroll (it might if John Carroll were to suffer a brutally close loss to Mt. Union) but it would DEFINITELY matter to Mt. Union if Mt. Union were to lose to John Carroll.

with only four Pool C spots, it'll be an interesting playoff bracket with only one MIAC team (no StJ), only one of UMHB/HSU and the potential mess at the top of the WIAC.  The region committees might put out some wild rankings in that final week to get some teams an extra regionally ranked opponent and get Team A and/or B to the table sooner

I'm already over this 4 team at large BS.... JCU very well could go 8-2, and have 4 point loss UWW and loss to UMU (which is almost ALWAYS a one position game as of 2013) and be on the outside looking in.. Now, I'm not going to argue that they should be one of the 4 if they are 8-2, but I hate that there is going to be arguably AT LEAST 2 Top 15 teams left out, all while NCC and Mount get to play the Little Sisters of the Poor in Week 1 and the Older Brothers of the Poor in Week 2..

I believe our only path is that we have to beat you guys next week.

Don't you think no small part of the little sisters of the poor is that no one is picking up the phone to schedule NCC and Mount OOC?  I've long wished that Mount would schedule Linfield or St Johns in a home and home but I don't think it'll ever happen unfortunately.

There have been some teams in the past who would schedule Mount (UWW and St. John's Fisher come to mind).  One issue I think is that Mount won't schedule a non-conference away game where there is significant travel.  So that will eliminate a lot of opponents.
