I was just looking at stats and if we're being fair no one from Mount should win the special award for WR or offensive back currently.  When's the last time that happened?  And frankly it's not very debatable at the moment.

Mount Union is definitely spreading the carries around on Offense and Plunk has a variety of receivers to throw to.

2016 OAC CHAMPS! AND MY OWN SELF-PROCLAIMED RUNNERS-UP TO THE RUNNERS-UP.

Marietta beating Capital on Saturday seems to lock them into a RRO for Mount and JCU.  I'd assume that no matter what the outcome of the Mount-JCU game, both will be regionally ranked next week.

Obviously, I am of the belief that Mount wins another OAC title this weekend.  having a 2-0 record vs RRO is going to be huge for Mount, plus it looks like the OAC out of conference opponents have a pretty favorable schedules in the last two weeks.  That SOS should shoot up north of .500.

Sounds like the playoff committee is hellbent on punishing teams in 10 school conferences who can't really control their SOS, so Mount needs every little SOS point to keep from having to travel 499 miles to beat down another east coast team in the postseason

With the shake up today in Las Vegas a couple of JCU guys are now looking for work.  Both Josh McDaniels and David Ziegler got fired today. Things are going to get better this weekend.

Not sure how realistic this is, but does anyone think there might be any scenario where a 7-3 Heidelberg team could sneak into the bottom of the RR at the end of the year?

Not bloody likely.

while I agree, the RAC's are known to do some strange things with the final rankings to help out a team or two's playoff profile.  Whether it's jamming in an extra team with two teams ranked 7th or in '21 when Region 5 slipped 7-3 Wash U as an 8th team in the final ranking to help Wheaton out.  Could the Region 4 RAC slide a 7-3 Berg squad into the final spot?  Maybe, but probably not. Hiram isn't doing the Princes any favors at 1-9

If you listened to Pat with the Committee Chair, it does sound like there might be more than 7 teams ranked, but then there were only 7 listed in the first "ranking" so who knows.

He was unsure and didn't have notes on that, and I reiterated that, but nonetheless, was disappointed to see seven teams listed instead of eight.

I tried to forget that season in Alliance...

Also, that was just a bad year overall.  The WR special award winner had 633 yards in 10 games.  Yikes.

pretty sure the NCAA does that as well....

getting your third true freshman QB within a couple of points of the National Champs* has to be one of the best coaching jobs in Mount history
