I feel like Mount would abuse Walsh or Tiffin.  Or at least in the past they would have. I sadly had to run the scoreboard for JV games including one where I watched Mount beat Malone 56-3 in a downpour.  Malone looked like a HS team comparatively.  The problem is those varsity would never happen bc the D2 teams have nothing to gain and everything to lose playing a D3.

Tiffin has turned into a top D2 team, however their hotshot coach just left for Gardner-Webb.

Walsh and Malone (RIP) would have been boatraced by the Raiders teams of the past 20-30 years.

with Brandon Staley getting fired by the SD LA Chargers today.  Was there ever a more valuable D3 football game than when JCU beat Mount in 2016?  Arth took off to UT-Chattanooga and parlayed his sub .500 record into a 5 year deal at Akron (fired after two years with 3 total wins) and Staley ran off to the Chicago Bears in '17, moving up to Rams DC for one season and then a pretty horrible run at Chargers HC (4 years @ $16m though)

This is tough to watch.  Not great football.  Although Mount has been the culprit of a few Staggs similar over the yrs so fair is fair.

Otherwise, I am with you ... I used my two days pre-scheduled Annual Leave to do Christmas stuff instead of Stagg Bowl.  At least my Wife's gifts are wrapped instead of being thrown into a holiday gift bag with some tissue paper on Christmas Eve (or Christmas morning, like last year, but we were without power for 30 hours until 7:00 PM Christmas Eve).

Glad to see Cortland win. What a great game to watch as a fan of football. Great play calling and players playing it all on the line.

Geez... kind of a backhanded congratulations if you ask me... Mount got bounced in the 2nd round. It happens. Mount didn't belong in Salem this year. Period.

Cortland was written off by everyone the whole way. Good for them for proving everyone wrong.
