Quote from: D3fanboy on February 28, 2024, 01:44:25 PMI hope that Mount only agreed to this OAC-HCAC thing with the promise of being paired with SOS-cow MSJ.

I'm not sure Mount Union who has been wasting everybody's time with games against Defiance and Ferrum is in any position to dictate anything about non-conference scheduling.

In the interest of securing 10-game seasons in a reasonable geographical footprint, this is a good move for everybody involved, Mount Union included.

I'm waiting with bated breath for Wally Wabash's response to D3football darling UMHB having two Bishop Sycamore style "colleges" on their '24 schedule

None of us is a big fan of it, nor is it a big surprise. It's been known for a few weeks -- only officially posted today.

Wow, a request!  Even though you've completely missed the point of my original post I'm grateful that you value my opinion.  Here you go-

UMHB's 2024 schedule isn't particularly good for anybody except maybe Westgate Christian.  The entire situation there in the ASC isn't good and I hope those schools can set a long term path that prioritizes stability for their athletics programs.  Whether or not there's a path there that ends in Division III, I don't know, but the S-As at those schools should be left in this limbo for as short a period as is possible.

Wonder if/how Plunk performed. Not exactly sure where he fits in the professional football landscape.

Ruby could get an NFL look, Plunk has no chance IMHO.

a 1.52 RAS is not going to open many doors.  In comparison, Pierre had a 9.41, Cecil 8.23, Jasper Collins 6.68 (scale of 1-10).

To me, this is the biggest recruit of the off-season! I hope he returns to form like he was playing before he left. I'm excited for a new offensive threat that he provides and will open up more for the talent around him.

Mike Maloney, the QB from Riverside, looks like the "next guy".  The 3 or 4 from Riverside all look like very promising recruits.  In addition to your list, Greyson Siders (RB-Dalton) "committed" this week.  Siders was the Ohio D7 offensive player of the year

Venice HS was a State Finalist the past two seasons.  Carter Dalton looks like a good "signee" for the Defense.

FAFSA has still not sent data to Colleges/Universities yet, so some kids may be waiting for the final Financial Breakdowns from schools before "committing."

another supremely talented recruiting class is not a huge shock.  With no offense to any recruit, transfer or returning QB prospects, we can all agree that the biggest signee is the new Director of Strength and Conditioning
