Beaudrie was involved in pregame warmups and looked ready to go. He moved well and passes were spot on. I noticed when the team returned to the locker room before kickoff, he sprinted to the sideline from the middle of the field.  From this observation, I would guess that he could serve as a starter or back-up.

D3fanboy

From what I have been told, Beaudrie could play if needed.  But the Raiders are going with the hot hand and DeShields.

I'd love to see some red zone packages with Beaudrie in the near future to add another feature for the Raiders

Desertraider

I think Deshields is more fitting to SiL style of play? Maybe with Beaudrie he felt compelled to simplify and/or keep everything RPO? Trying to figure out why Mount has just looked better since the QB change. I would not mind using both - similar to Burghardt and Bruney. Might make for an interesting red zone switch.

No JCU and a Waddle-less Etta next year.  I really hope someone else in the OAC improves quickly because on paper this isn't promising.

BergAlum2

Guess with JCU gone and Marietta maybe dropping losing their coach, next year its time for ONU, BW or the Berg to shine  ;D  Although I think its gonna be Mount 10-0 and all the other OAC teams beating each other next year with so so records, no 9-1 OAC team.

Dr. Acula

At this point I would say it would be a massive upset if Mount didn't go undefeated in the OAC in 2025.  And I agree, I also highly doubt there will be a 9-1 2nd place team in 2025.  Even with Waddle it was going to be an interesting year at Etta because they had such a strong group of seniors this season.  He turned that into a solid D3 job so hopefully they get a quality replacement.

raiderpa

Happy for Waddle.  He has earned it.

Absolutely.  They were so bad when he got there.  In my time following the OAC the job he did turning Etta around is second only to Hallett taking Berg to the playoffs in the hierarchy of incredible coaching accomplishments.

replacing JCU/Ferrum with Grove City and Wheaton is going to be a positive for the Raiders.  With all of the Marion Local/Coldwater talk on here lately, I've always wondered how ONU just didn't go after Midwest Athletic Conference kids over and over.
