I mean, three seasons back-to-back-to-back of 40-55-63 TD passes is hard to do in a video game.

if it's 10 years post graduation to be eligible, how in the world is Nate Kmic not in the HOF?

Congrats to Blake Elliot from this Purple Raider alum.  Well deserved.  Why Borchert isn't getting love is unbelievable.

Just from Mount - Borchert, Kmic, and Burke. What about on the defensive side of the ball? Hall?

Nick Driskill could be a fit to get in on the defensive side? Unreal career and multiple national awards across two years.

Matt Campbell maybe as well, but would be more of a lifetime achievement things than just his play at Mount Union.

imo, defensive guys are always going to be tougher to get in.  Driskill, Kern, Hall, Lally, Campbell, Dieusuel, Hallett, etc are all-timers in D3.  It's just tough to rack up the eye-popping stats on defense needed for the big time national honors

Oh man, Nick Driskill. Reminds me of Ted Lasso - Roy Kent chant.  He's here, he's there, he's every f^%}**€ing where!!
Great player.

Oh yeah he was awesome, that dude was a beast. That whole 2012 team was stacked on Defense. If I remember they had more players get NFL looks than Kent or Akron that year.

and only in four actual years of college.  Imagine how ridiculous Driskill would have been with a 5th year like the stars of today?  He was a freak

Yeah that 2012 team was loaded with talent.

the 2012 QB room was Burke, Namdar (NFL FA with Bucs) and Taurice Scott...wow

what an era of D3 football....those '12 and '15 Mount teams are absolutely insane. Liepold at UWW was the only thing keeping Mount from having a couple dozen titles (and those QBs) and Mount was the only thing keeping UWW from winning 9 or 10.    Peak D3FB

Pat Coleman

Peak competitiveness among two top teams, anyway.

I'm sure that you'll use Logan's stats and and PR type of answer, but you really think that today's national champs would stand a chance against those UWW/Mount teams from the decade plus of dominance?

Imagine the UFL signings from those teams if it was a thing.... you'd be tweeting non-stop

This is completely anecdotal evidence on my part but I played against UWW in 2010 quarters when they won the title, we ended up losing 20-10 after entering the 4th qtr with a 10-7 lead.  Same amount Mount lost by in the Stagg a few weeks later, granted we were at home and not neutral field like Mount. I also played @ UWW in 2007 but that game was not as competitive.

IMO, the NCC teams of the past few years would've crushed the teams I was on, in part due to the fact they had a bunch of 22-24 year olds.  Not saying they would beat those Mount or UWW teams but I at least think it would've been competitive given that these teams since 2020 have had a bunch of 5th/6th year players and it was pretty rare back then.

Fully agree both Mount and UWW were amazingly talented during that era, just offering my personal experience for comparison.

He was good for so long it felt like he played for six years. Not him again was my mindset.
