Perhaps sensational works better.

Sensational is the word and amen to PBR institutions.  :)

I think 99 was obviously a better game (The game of the millenium, after all, right?).  Maybe my vision is clouded by the fact that I was not a student at JCU in 99 and I was in 02, but it just seemed like if any team was going to take down Mount, that high powered offense was the best shot.  It's tough to argue against the 1999 game, though.

Otterbein announced it won't have its stadium ready for this week's game.  They have rescheduled the start time for 7:30 Saturday evening and are  playing at Westerville South HS.  The dedication is said to still be on schedule for the CAP game.

That's where I read it.  I didn't want to worry about posting a link that basically said everything I did in three sentences.  Sorry.

The '99 JCU - Mount game has to be the most exciting I've ever seen.  I was shaking when that game ended.

We stopped at a Cooker's on the way home, and everybody there was talking about the game.  They had been following it on ESPN.

Looking forward to some exciting action this year in the OAC!

I heard that Capital didn't look so good today at the Bluffton Scrimmage.  I know it is just a scrimmage, so if any D3'ers went, please let me know what you saw.

I was following it from home -- that's three addresses ago for us. Alternating between the MUC and JCU student station, trying to find someone who would be at all consistent with down and distance, giving names, stuff like that. Never quite found something satisfying there.

I also rewrote the front page about 10 times down the stretch in regulation and through the OTs, waiting for the game to end.

That '99 3OT game was the most exhausted I have ever been following a game.  I can't imagine playing in the game.  I know Marino didn't know how the game finished.  He got dinged up near the end.

Most people forget Mount went the length of the field in the final minute after JCU tied the game and tried a short field goal that banked off the upright.  I was sure JCU would win, they just continued to make every play they had to.

The two biggest OT things that happened might have been Chenos' 42-yard knuckle ball field goal in the first OT and then when JCU had first and goal on the one a motion penalty moved it back to the six and they eventually settled for a series tying field goal.

Just was a great game, it had everything, including a hail mail touchdown and I think two defensive touchdows, one by each team.

well well well....is been a long time pat. like what you've done with the place. i see that the legendary b-warmer's pick'em contest has lasted through my absense. i wonder who is making the lines these days. i see some old faces in here and some new. i have been out of the loop some what in the past 3 years but im gonna try as hard as possible to keep up with the OAC and my p-bears! and of course run the best smack on the page...so let the games begin...what up 4u!   benchwarmer is back on the net..

concerning the MUC '99 game, it sure looked like a fumble to me both on film, but on the field as well since I recovered that darn ball.  Also, Z did knock the receiver unconscious which would lead to a more likely than not probability of a fumble.  But I haven't looked at the film since the day after that game and refuse to watch my copy so maybe someone who wasn't on the field at the time had a better view, by this time, anything is possible.

When I think of listening to that '99 MUC vs JCU game on my computer, I have to be impressed at how crude the capabilites were then and how much they have improved. The most impressive improvement to me is that for games that I just want to keep up with the score, some schools like Wooster give you access to the live update of their game stats. So I don't have to depend on some D3 college sportscaster to let me know whats going on. Despite working with technology everyday, I think that is pretty cool
