Witt just doesn't seem to have any luck against the OAC.  2 straight losses to Carroll in BB...and a shallacking this afternoon.

That might be the understatement of the year!

Marietta won 25-7 and Ott won 14-0.  Other than Heidelberg getting buried and Wilmington losing by 3, this was a good day.
Witt has lots of luck--they're in the NCAC.

The purples did play ugly today on offense.  However,  this leaves alot of room for improvement.   Coach k will have them ready for conference play.

Capital handed the tigers a whoppin they soon wont forget!!  The defense looked solid and Pentello and company played well.  The biggest surprise was how well the offensive line did.  They looked physical and ready to play.  I was at the game and Cap totally dominated.   CONGRATS ON MAKING THE TIGERS LOOK LIKE KITTENS!!!

Man, It's hard for me to believe it, but the NCAC has actually gotten worse. Their pre-seaon favorite Witt gets blasted by Capital, AT HOME.  Wooster barely beats a worse than poor Muskingum, Allegheny looses to a BW team that will struggle bigtime to be 6-4.    According to the NCAC guys, their "big win" of the weekend is (insert drum roll here) ....... Denison?  Denison?????  Never a good sign if you're a NCAC fan.

Which means we should be ready for another year of the PBK smack from those folks.  (insert fake tear, and a soft sob.....)  It's all they have left.

After seeing the ONU and Capital scores, and seeing how MUC struggled offensively, I'm REALLY glad both of those games are in Alliance.

I have to agree with hscoach on the play of Mount. Neither qb threw the ball down field except for one pass which looked very ugly. And if it wasn't for the speed of the rb's to get outside the running game would have been null and void. LK has 2 weeks to move forward with the O.

The D was super as usual.

ONU- The All-American Trusnik picked up right where he left off after his record-setting 2004 campaign. He paced the ONU defense with 11 tackles, 2.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss. Hostetler returned punts 83 and 79 yards for TDs, tying the school record of two set by LaVant King against Otterbein in 1995. This week is redemption week. I'm REALLY glad Mount has ONU and CAP at home this year also hscoach.

CAP- Great job against Witt. Here is a Fincham quote; "Its obviously not the way we wanted to start the season. Things kinda avalanched on us early. Obviously, they're a very good football team." I think he wins the Mr. Obvious trophy this year. This game reminded me of our '99 playoff game at Witt, of course without breaking their QB's collarbone.

RE: CJ/Carroll

I was actually at the game and on the sidelines.  I am back in OH for a wedding this weekend.  So I got to see my Eagles play Thursday night.  It was not much of an offensive show but an entertaining game nonetheless.

Raiders will roll next 9 games

What exactly was it about Saturday's game that led you to give this prediction?  Was it the lack of consistency on offense?  The fact that the defense really only had one player to shut down (Young)?  Or was it the fact that the Raiders committed double-digit penalties?  While I think Mount will be undefeated by the end of the season, I think they might have a tough game or two.
