raiderguy,

Rumor (as in unconfirmed comments) in the stands was that Bruney simply decided not to play anymore.  I heard no comment on Bugera.
12-0 = 13

rc- I was pointing to both statements.

b4uknewit- I was here when that discussion was taking place but felt no need to post reply. This has to be my 2000 + post. I think everyone knows that Florida kids are more experienced and can make an earlier impact since they play spring ball. The only thing I didn't know is that you are in FL and unable to attend Mount's games. Because again everyone knows it is much better to be at the game than listening to it on a cell phone. So don't be so offended that I point out when you stated the..........

Not sure I can help much on the Bainum situation except to tell you that he quit and  is no longer with the team.  There is alot of depth at RB and at times it probably seemed like an awfully large committment for 6-10 carries a game.  To each their own, I guess.

Mount had a kid from Kentucky last year that was a first-team all state selection as a running back in high school.
He should be a soph. this season.  What ever happened to him? Is he still with the team?  Just curious.

Congrats to the Team of the Week members from the OAC.  Trusnik got the nod on the D-Line.  Hostetley was the return specialist of the week with his two TD's.  Even Wilmington got in on the act with Frosh linebacker Chad Adams.  A pretty good first week for the OAC.

It went mostly untalked about for obvious reasons but how about Wilmington's Week One effort against HCAC favorite MSJ?!?  They almost pulled it out and held the Lions to 111 yards of total offense and -21 yards rushing.

RC-- Spinning names on here is part of the fun and hope nobody takes that stuff too serious :)  And I agree, 4U is a step above the rest in this area.  ohiofootball-- My bad on the posting numbers OBVIOUSLY!  No offense taken by your post, and when I can't to games live, WRMU does a great job in my view on the computer gimmick.  The phone calls were actually made by me to the game so I could get more details.  My crazy trips back and forth driving to Mount Union have been posted and elaborated on by many others who do the same insane things to get their D-3 fix and see their kids play.  Week 2 rolling up!  Keep us Hurricane Folks posted on the details !!!  Roll~~RAIDERS

RC:
I'm wondering if that game result says alot about Wilmington's defense or it says more about MSJ's offense and the HCAC in general. Nevertheless, great game Wilmington (many to follow, I'm sure).

OU #25:
My poor eyes didn't find any KY player listed on the roster.

Craig Lanham from Owensboro, Ky was listed as a Frosh on last year's roster.  He is not on this year's lineup.

Thanks Rascal!
I'm curious where he went.  I live in Cincinnati and I heard folks down here say that he was a heckuva player in high school.

Thanks for the info on Bainum.  His sophmore year I know when Northern took away the pass, he really was the difference in the 2nd half.  I always thought Cap probably wasn't the best fit for him based on the style of offense Cap runs.  It looked like he sure put up some gaudy numbers in high school.

How can you take Mt Unions 1 first place vote and give ie to Linfield when they haven't played a game yet? That Sucks!! Hey Raiders lets change that in a hurry!!!!  GO RAIDERS!!!!

seventiesraider

Get used to it Raider4505. I'm sure we're two or three until playoff time or somebody sneaks up on Linfield. You gotta beat the Champ to be the Champ.

I went through the past few days' posts on this board looking for totals that needed updating and found a bunch. I don't have all the names jotted down but it included toph, bushman, seventiesraider, rscl70, raider4505 and a handful of others. Did I miss you? Let me know via private message, no need to bother the rest of the board with it.
