There is a pretty nice article in today's Cleveland Plain Dealer in the local colleges section about last night's 70-0 blowout at Shula Stadium.Congrats to MUC on their 600th victory and also their 52nd cosecutive road victory also an all division Ncaa record!!!!!

I forgot to mention that the MUC JV's play today at MUC Stadium vs Wooster. Kickoff at 2:00.

Raider1, i believe the game was cancelled as far as Wooster was concerned...

I believe last night's game can be summed up as follows, in the form of a letter no less:

Dear OAC,
We're still here.  You can't stop us.

Hugs and Kisses,
Mount Union

I honestly think that JCU was on the wrong side of a statement game.  The beating last year almost seems worse because Carroll looked absoultely awful.  This year, Mount Union looked that good, there wasn't a team in the country that could've stopped that wrecking ball last night.

Hats off to MUC for delivering a thorough drubbing!

I'm sure this is one of the prouder moments for Larry Kehres' program.  That must have been one heck of a ride back to Alliance.

This will no doubt further cement what comes to mind first when people think of Mount Union College:  football success.

It was an amazing perfomance by the Purple Raiders. Things just snowballed for JCU. Tough too keep it together getting down big in the 1st quarter and throwing 5 picks. Despite the score the Streaks played hard and it was as always a very physcial game.

Sure seems like Jorris locked up the starting QB prior to the game since he started and played every series till midway into the 3rd quater.. Certainly did not hurt himself with that performance!!! He seemed confident and poised in the pocket and what a cannon!

Was also very impressed with Mount's overall team speed. May have had some faster players (like Kern) but as a team don't know if I've seen one faster.than this years addition.

Also noticed that LK was much more interactive with his players. Lots of hand shakes and helmet pats!

Hmmmm, that's sounds an awful lot like a certain statement that was said during the WDPN broadcast last night.  Wonder who that could have been????????

Does anybody know if there's a video of the Carroll game available to the public for those of us who missed it?

70-0 against John Carroll...not the Hiram Puppies - how is that possible?  I can't believe Carroll is that bad.  Or, is Mount Union just that good, at least last night?  I hope they can stay in that zone right through the playoffs.  :)

After watching Charlie Weis learn about college overtime yesterday the hard way, it's good to see there is a God and He's in Alliance, Ohio.  (This is a joke, guys.)

I would humbly like to thank Larry Kehres for this personal  tribute (70's - 0)

Runyr- You might want to call Regis Scafe. I doubt he wants to watch his copy.

Dale Karmie -
If you are still lurking out there, reading this board, please drop me an e-mail.
Looks like I will be coming to ABQ the middle of next month in order to attend a Flight Safety school at Kirtland AFB.

The results for week 3 and the games for week 4 have been posted on the OAC Pick-Em page.

Dale Karme:

Yes, if you are still out there, drop me a line here too (or on my personal e-mail - it is the same).  I need to see if you can send me some brochures/information on the synthetic turf from your company.  A former collegiate teammate of mine is on their h.s. athletic board and the school is looking into that.  I mentioned that I recalled you being involved.  Obviously, there are additional venues to tap for the info, but thought I'd start out with you first.  Hope all is well with you.  Thanks.

Was at the game and never listened to the radio but it is amazing how great minds think alike! ;D

Amazing performance last night.

I saw the new poll and am surprised by a few things.  ONU fell asleep at the wheel in the first quarter but they dominated the game for almost the final three quarters.  I am surprised they fell two spots after their performance but I know that they are clumped together with a lot of good teams in that 4-8 range of the new poll.  I am also surprised that Marrietta didn't at least get a vote from anyone in the nation.  I don't think they are necessarily top 25 but I thought they might get a vote coming off a solid year and starting off 2-0.  I guess we will see how they do next week.

My upset special for this week will be WIL winning on the concrete carpet.

Anybody provide any insight how ONU dropped to 7th after beating B-W 30-17?  granted, it took them the first quarter to shake off the bye week, but dropping 2 spots?  The have put up 73 points and only given up 276 total yards in their first 2 games  the way this poll looks, if the Bears can win their next 4 games, and be 6-0 going into Mount they'll be lucky to still be in the top 15!!!
