So the Cleveland Indians just moved their start time up this Saturday from 7pm to 1:30pm.  I have tickets to that game as well as the Capital-MUC game.  Which one should I go to and why?

Tribe is blowing it against the Devil Rays, make plans to visit Larry Kehres Field on Saturday. :)

raider4505--
go to the general football page and then to pick-ems from there.  Pat had to move all of the pick-ems to one area for some reason.  You can also get there from the pull down menu on the bottom of this page.

As far as Leinart only taking 3 credit hours and trying to do the same at ONU for Trusnik, were it the case he could still and will get a medical redshirt, I thought you had to be a full-time student to participate in athletics.  That would consist of nine credit hours.

jcu87alum

Nine hours to be considered full time?  Perhaps I'm just out of the loop and that's an NCAA requirement.   When I was an undergrad, 12 hours were the minimum for full time status which covered areas such as financial aid, housing, and I thought athletics as well.  I'm just surprised only 9 hours would qualify as full time - perhaps it varies by school.

Pat Coleman

If you are in your final semester and only need to take a part-time load to finish your requirements to graduate, you are eligible to participate in athletics. That is true at all levels of the NCAA, not just Division I.

Pat:

And this is all being done to help graduation rates, i.e. in the interest of the students/athletes, right?  Right.... ::)

JCU87:
You are correct, it is 12.  I don't know what I was thinking about.

pios,
If you are playing your fifth year of eligibilty and you have completed your undergraduate degree, you need to take 9 hours of graduate courses to be considered eligible.  So, in that instance, the 9 credit hour theory holds true,

You do realize you are talking about courseloads and credit minimums with a guy who majored in basket weaving at JCU right?

RC Cola-
I would have never majored in basket weaving-- that would have been far too strenuous for my delicate hands.  I was more of a "General Studies" type.  That said, I did graduate in four years and played my fifth while taking 9 hours of graduate studies.  So, on that subject, I have some loose knowledge to throw around,

RC-
You failed to mention that JCU is the top basket weaving school in the country.

So what is everyone's take on the CAP v. Mount game this weekend? Does Cap really have a chance?

I think they do if they plaly solid defense and don't make stupid mistakes. They can't afford to turn the ball over.
