Can't stop thinking about the 70-0 pasting that MUC put on JCU, while listening to this ONU-JCU game.  Did Mr. Trusnik's injury mean that much?  25%...50%..whatever of the JCU score???
Now 50 points????

You heard it here first, folks...
On the web broadcast...
JCU is back in the conference (OAC) hunt!

ONU timeout with 1.8 second left against JCU?  What for?  Down 25 and calling timeouts???  What the hell?

Not to sound offensive, but "Kaz" would have done it!
Web broadcasters (students) thought it might be for post-season considerations (how bad you lost).

With all due considerations and apologies to Reality Check...
My position has always been that ONU can show the NCAA who is boss..who is in charge of their own destiny...who really makes the rulings that "stick"/matter...is for ONU to finish the season with a record that would not be considered by the post-season selection committee as worthy of a playoff Pool C slot.  ONU worked on that, a whole bunch, today.
In "reality," I really wanted to see ONU go 9-1 (with a big loss to MUC).

ONU losing to JCU is as bad as COE losing to KNOX!  Come on Bears, you have got to be kidding me.

Maybe ONU should rethink their appeal. After todays embarrassment their chances of a post-season this year are nearing slim and none. Does the schedule give them a break next week against one of the bottom 4? If not they could be on a death spiral.

I think it might be about time for everyone to realize that JCU isn't as bad as that 70-0 loss.  Phillips did have 300 yards passing and Oing had over 100 rushing.  This was flat out domination in the second half.

Maybe Northern isn't as good as we thought
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

I give JCU credit, after getting pummelled in the Mount game they have built upon that as a focus to regain themselves and are doing just that. JCU isn't that bad, just they were that night! It will be interesting to see if they can run the board now, and have a shot at post season.

Mount's Garcone was the go-to-guy today, just amazing on the fly! Just as Cap seemed to be gaining momentum again and Mount continued to shoot themselves in the foot, Garcone rockets the sideline for a TD to start the 4th and it snowballed from there! The Mount Defense did rise to the occasion when needed, with the exception of some costly penalty calls, Keeping Pentello rushed or running and causing most the interceptions. Ross Watson shows why he definitely is First team ALL- OAC, a proven leader for the rest of the secondary, as well as Gibbons and Stickley!

1.Capital came to play.
2. JCU is a good football team
3. Mount owes Capital  a big "thanks" for the game today. (they needed that)
4. Maybe coaches poll knew something we didn't
5.THERE IS A LOT OF FOOTBALL LEFT TO PLAY THIS YEAR.

Cap had opportunities to take a nice lead.  Blocked punt for a TD that was called back and a dropped interception that could of gone for a TD.  The key play IMOP was in the 4th quarter Cap was leading 17-14 and had 3rd and 1 and didn't convert.  After that is was all down hill.  Mr. SAT is the real deal, Cap had no answer for his speed.  Big props to Caps D just couldnt play that many plays vs MU.  Hopefully everyone came out healthy.

1) BW is average at best
1a) Garcon is not just a waiter anymore
2) ONU lost because they did not run out of the polar bear face in broad daylight
3) 70-0 means scafe pissed off LK
4) Can Cap win a big game this year, or does their whole season hang on the Mount game like last year.  (The debacle that was the last couple games)

What a game in Alliance today.  Exciting!  Garcon definently has emerged as a playmaker the past two games.  Things have been quiet with Casto, but that's expected after the first two games.  I guess OTT and CAP focused too much on Casto and didn't pay enough attention to Garcon!  You can't cover both of them! These 2 guys are going to give defenses headaches for the remainder of the fall.  What does everyone think about Casto not getting as many balls thrown to him?  Also, Robinson emerged today as a threat along with steady Ibeh.  This offense was dormant for 3 quarters until an explosion in the 4th.  Defense played well as usual.  Esp. Watson with his 3 int's.  Mount was challenged today and overcame it like good teams do. Go Raiders!
