If there is one thing we know needs to be worried about at ONU, its LK's second half adjustments. Agreed
the game wasn't on but the highlights were at Chotchkies.

To those who are getting crazy in Ada be civilized and safe.

It feels like a weight has been lifted off of every team in the OAC.

ric- I hope I coined your book, "The Decade of Dominance" of ohiofootball. I'm really sat and thought about those years and it is trully remarkable what the MUC coaches, players, administrators, and fans did during the streak.

I had actually planned to go to the NIU vs. KSU game in Kent yesterday (friend of the family is HC at NIU), but with the 40 degree weather, rain and no covered stands at KSU, my wife and I decided to go sit with the elderly at MTU.

pal

congrats to ONU.   Over the last 10 years Mount has had some incredible teams.  ONU did exactly what needs to be done to beat Mount.....

Get off to a great start
Create turnovers
and lastly....don't forget to play the entire 4th quarter.

GREAT GAME ONU, HOWEVER  YOUR SEASON IS GOING TO BE BITTER SWEET BECAUSE YOU GOT HANDLED BY JCU.

What makes/made Mount so impressive was that over the past 99 regular season games they came ready to win and their coaches would not let them become complacent for games that seemed unimportant.

My question is this.....If JCU wins out and ONU wins out....who gets the playoff bid. ( I understand ONU still needs to get the NCAA approval)

By the way....how do you let a freshman run all over your defense?

I wonder if ONU could drop there appeal since it is now pretty unlikely they will make the playoffs?  Would the NCAA let them do that and take the penalty this year?

It would seem to be a cheap way to do it but I wonder if it could happen.

Any thoughts?

Still want them to drop their appeal?

I just hope the hangover lasts thru next Sat......looking forward to the game next week and the key games left in the season.

What was wrong with Garcon?

jdean

I was told he had shin splints. His lower leg-ankle area was heavily wrapped.

b4uknewit

cufan-- nice try,   I heard he had a splinter in his mouth from a faulty toothpick while visiting a local eatery. :P

anyone know what the tie-breakers actually are for the oac?  i'm curious to know how the three teams stategies might change in an attempt to clinch the automatic bid.  for instance, if it was point differential, would we see muc hanging an extra thirty points in the fourth?

Ric

As I mentioned earlier, I was told yesterday if there is a two or three or whatever way tie in the conference the NCAA not the OAC selects the AQ from the conference.

Pat Coleman

Ric,

Unfortunately, that person is wrong. I know the OAC has not had to deal with a tie for an AQ in football ... well, ever ... but that is not the way it works. The conference selects its own AQ via its tiebreaker system. The NCAA committee then chooses which remaining team or teams from the tie it would like to consider for Pool C bids.

The 1994 rules don't apply anymore.

Pat's FAQ makes it seem otherwise. http://www.d3football.com/faq.php?question&category=Playoffs  I also seem to recall Millikin getting in on their conference's tiebreaker in 2000.  Perhaps my interpretation of the FAQ and my memory of the events prior are faulty.
