I think the JCU D came out a little flat in the Mount game too. ;)

Here's how I see the playoff scenarios, IMHO:

MUC won't lose again and will make the playoffs regardless of what ONU and JCU does.

If all 3 schools go 9-1 the only way ONU gets in is if the OAC picks them as the AQ.  Does anyone seriously think the same NCAA idiots that waited to punish Kaz,  would then turn around and vote them in?  I don't think so.

If only MUC and ONU finish 9-1, then ONU gets the AQ due to the head-to-head tie breaker and MUC gets the at-large bid.

If MUC and JCU finish 9-1 then MUC gets the AQ and JCU the at-large bid.

Toph,

Thanks for not trying to change my mind.  I think you know me well enough by now to know that I mean no disrespect to either JCU or you personally.

I guess a lot of my opinion is based on the fact that Cap played MUC close and ONU actually beat them, yet JCU got thumped.  I know they then beat ONU, but like RC said, I have to think that the NCAA stuff was in ONU's head, plus I believe they had just lost Trusnik as well.

I don't know.  I guess we'll see.  I agree with your last statement, though.  It will be an exciting last three weeks of the season.

The Mr. Obvious Trophy is still yet to be awarded.

Onyx- Thank Goodness for the modify button. I guess I was thinking about the pregame tailgate. I told JT about the game. You guys across the pond should stay in touch better.

You're right... us guys across the pond should stay in touch better.  It's not easy with a six hour time difference.  I actually called JT when the game was over but ended up getting voice mail.
I'm in Ohio right now and probably will be until March then I'm back to Prague to start the next football season.  If you want more info or want to meet up, shoot me an email.
And for the students, another full drawer of clean undies!

This might be splitting hairs, but they are different idiots. :) I don't believe anyone from the infractions committee is also on the football committee.

JCU's D was flat on its back most of that game and I think their O was buried underneath.

"70-0" IS A LOT OF MATERIAL. Hey, you'll get your chance to get even during basketball season.

I read on Purple's Official website that a young and former  Mount football player, who lost a leg in this ongoing war in Iraq, will be speaking at the college on Oct. 27th.  I'm confident this type of discussion will shed a different perspective on what sacrifice and loss is. How fortunate we all are to have these young men and women dedicate their lives, so that we may ENJOY losses, in games on a playing field.  God bless you son.  God Bless All of You!

I don't think JCU, no matter how good they are can hold the Purple Raider Basketball team to 70-0.
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)

Nott Run:  Please tell your boy Arcidianinionoooinonono (or however you spell his name) to step it up these last few weeks.  The Mudhens need a HUGE performance from the RB position to close out the 2005 Championship!

GO MUDHENS!

The good news is JCU players are always tripping over each other so they can't score 70. The bad news is I've seen some Mount teams (not recent ones) that could score zero.

For all those familiar with NE Ohio HS football, this is McKinley-Massillon weekend. Fawcett stadium is sold out, over 22,000, and for the first time in over 40 years both teams are 9-0 going into the big one.
