Here is some more Smug-Bastard Banter:

I predict that MUC doesn't even wear their Black Jerseys for this game. My guess is that they wear Purple over Purple.

From the Game Notes Posted on http://www.muc.edu/athletics/men_s_teams/football/mount_union_vs_mount_st_joseph_game_notes

Larry Kehres on Mt. St. Joseph:
"They're a very strong defensive team allowing only an average of 14 points per game. Their rush defense is outstanding, giving up only 95 yards per game. They put pressure on passing teams. Overall, they are excellent defensively. Offensively, they try to maintain good balance. The emphasis with their offense is to run, throw the play action pass, and get into the shotgun in definite passing situations. Mount St. Joseph has put together two excellent seasons in arrow and are very deserving of the success they have had."

Sounds a lot like Lou Holtz talking up an opponent. :)

I don't think he is talking them up I think he is doing what every good coach does and that is respecting the opponent.

Defense sets school record by holding MSJ to (-21) rushing yards

A prediction for Saturday's game??

No, the headline from the Wilmington website from the recap of the Wilmington-MSJ game. 14 MSJ points from two fumble recoveries lead to 17-14 MSJ victory. All I can say is: 111 total yards against the awesome Wilmington Quakers?? Cheeseburgers at the Hood at halftime. Home in plenty of time for 4:00PM basketball practice.

A note to MSJ fans, come early and enjoy the brunch at the campus center just north of the stadium. It is very affordable and despite how obnoxious we can be on here, I'm sure you will get a warm greeting at the brunch and considering the forecast is for windy, chilly weather, we all need a good breakfast.

PS I feel that Larry Kehres is being diplomatic:  ie Characterized by tact and shrewdness; dexterous; artful;
        as, diplomatic management.

I won't trade eighties for that victory cheeseburger at the Hood. Anyway, if the leaves don't turn and the snow doesn't fly, how do you know when it's time for basketball?

I'm only allowed addiction to 2 sports.  Football and Hockey. Coaching high school hockey in Florida takes up more time than Post Patterns ;D

and is probably easier than raising oranges in Ohio.

Hockey in Florida. You've made my evening.

Do Florida hockey players end every sentence with "eh yup"?

PS Actually, it's never time for baseball.

RP/Dubs..

OSU (-3) - Might as well be (-10), Buckeyes roll...

Bengals (+5.5) - Already took that bet, won't lose two BIG games in the Jungle..

CAP wins in a close one, next up Wabash..

Write them down, make you some money..

Thats The Ric Hutton!

You have to love playoff board smack.

New England 8th worst conference? There are some teams mostly from the state up north that formed a conference where their automatic qualifier had a 7-3 record.

Wabash cruises

Go Buckeyes!

And we don't.....................!!!

Stat of the Week from Ryan Briggs' Around the Region:

Mount Union hasn't given up a TD in 14 quarters (2nd Quarter of the ONU Game).

Although, the opponents were Heidelberg, Muskingum and a pile of BW.
