I think when you read/hear about complaints of MUC fans its that same group that you were unfortunate to be sitting near. I guess most successful teams/programs at every level have a few fans like these. Appropriate behavior is something they wouldn't understand.

Glad to see bands from both schools at the play off.  First time I've seen the mount band at a play off game.  I think it adds a lot to the whole atmosphere of the game and  the new band director has added some new wrinkles.  Although I did not see him at the game.

Are you planning on doing any radio broadcast with Ric. Maybe a MUC-ONU game next year.

How about getting me a ticket for the MUC-AUGIE game so I can have a better seat to watch the game.

isnt' the cut off for karma -12?  i was under the impression that if you go past -12 you were kicked off post patterns.  i could be wrong, but if so, it was lovely posting with you ko-hawk

Guess you were wrong. Cocoforcoe etc posted this morning on the W Region with a -21 and there was another Kohawk poster yesterday who had a -25. Apparently there is no limit to the amount you can offend people (as long as it isn't the host?). OK, that ? is unfair. The host does a good job of policing the Board.

You can always click the link "report to moderator" and maybe he/she/they will kick KoHawk off.

oldmantoo:  The idiot with the purple wig and the big mouth you are referring to is Jerry Hammerton.   I have the unfortunate vantage point of having season tickets 2 rows behind Jerry and his Merry Band of Half Wits.   Over the last few years, his mouth has begun to wear on most of us.    The scarey part of this is knowing he's a teacher at Alliance.  Nothing like a true gentleman teaching our youth.

I'd suggest calling the MUC athletic office.  I know there were quite a few complaints to the college last year and he was "talked to".  I would love to see  his season tickets moved to the end of the stands where he has no access to the opposing team.  He has given the MUC team a black eye for too long.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

There was a whole new concept to officiating at the MUC-MSJ game. I hope it was just a trial basis.  Call everything on the home team the first half. Then call everything on the away team the second half. It was controversial, but really sad.

Quick question to the MUC fans:

Reading the post board about assigned season tickets, are there assigned tickets for the playoffs for visitors as well, or are the assigned tickets just for the season ticket holders? Also, I'm making the trip from just outside Chicago how long long of a trip can I exepct, and will I be able to get a ticket at the game?

Ric

augiedog, all seating is reserved.  You will not have a problem getting a ticket it is holiday break at the college there will be plenty of seats.

I've driven to Chicago twice.  I'm thinking it took me approx. 8 hrs.  South Bend is about 5-1/2 hrs from Alliance if that helps.  If you'll be here Friday night let me know there will be a little get together in town.

skunks_sidekick

Yes, the Hammer is a goof at times.  But, I will take his merry band of half-wits vs. the "honey.....wake me up when Mounts scores so I can watch those cute cheerleaders do pushups" crowd any day.  We always joke about the age of the season ticketholders in the covered stands, but waiting in line on Friday for my tickets I was able to witness the majority of them first hand.  Think 70+, walkers/canes, just happy to be part of the ole college spirit.  Now mind you, god BLESS that they still have enough gumption, desire, and ability to get to the games.  I am guessing when I'm that age I will either have moved on to another place long before, or drooling in a home somwhere out of the way.

On to next week.  I will be VERY interested to see what the Raiders do on defense for Augie.  We have played that 4-2-5 defense almost exclusively all year to great accomplishment.  Obviously, I do not think we can play that against Augs.  I am thinking 5-3-3 might be more fitting.  Maybe 6-5, no D-backs!  ;D

I recall vividly the last time we played these maulers in the play-offs.
Augie - grind...grind...grind.....smash.....SCORE!  (6 minutes)
Raiders - zip....zap......zoom....SCORE!  (5 plays, 1:16)

Ajwassup

Yeah that is ashame about those fans.  I was sitting prob about 35 yards away from them, and our group could hear almost everythig they were saying.  Its sad that a couple of MUC fans ruin it for the rest of us.

Def. looking forward to saturday's matchup.  Should be a good one.  Hopefully MUC and Cap can both win aon saturday so we can get an all OAC north regional final.

seventiesraider

For those worried about tickets, checkout the Mount Website for ticket info or just come early on Saturday. I forgot to get tickets this week and bought tickets at the gate at 10:30. I sat in the same row as the President of the College. He was on the 47, I was on the fifty. Season ticket holders have all day Monday to reserve their seats along with player parents.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Ric

Skunks that wasn't the last time.  The last time we played Augie was '01 and we won 32-7.

usee

Ric-sometimes your steel trap memory can be annoying. ;D

Ric

LOL usee actually I had greater memory of the '99 game as well until I began preparation for this Saturday late last week.
