I have taken off my Capital hat and put on my Army hat.

GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY...

TD ARMY!!!!  10-7, good guys!

When the Cap fans get home and come here to make their comments, they should sing high prasises for their team--that was a great effort. Its a shame that either team had to lose.
But, Mount had an equally heroic effort and overall it was one great game. Looking forward to another battle with the ugly uniform from back East. What a game.

Bitch slapping the 'Bash skirts to the side.....

Again, for the Capital faithful....  It was WOW!  I had always thought that Rocky's favorite receiver was Ross Watson, until today.  I never loss faith in my MUC'ers, but today, I was worried.  Just a great, great game...and season...for you.

NOW, I am going to Hooter's!!!

Sorry JK, I gotta pull for Navy in this one.  Why?  I do not know, other than they have a bowl bid and can carry a better record into it.

What a game!  ;D

First, I want to congratulate the Crusaders. That is one fine football team and worthy of a Stagg Bowl appearance. Great effort on a game that could have gone either way. Its not too far way before the OAC has another team other than Mount win a national championship.

Mount needs to address the short yardage and goal line situations. A qb sneek or quick hitter to the fb (Ibeh) might be in order. I am tired of running the I – formation, only to have the tailback hit before he reaches the line of scrimmage. Our failure to convert short yardage cost us the 99 Rowan game and played heavily in this year's loss to ONU. BTW Cap may be thinking the same thing. They also failed to convert 3 or 4 third and one situations (one inside the 5) as well.

Congratulations to the Raiders for seeing it through. BTW the play of the game IMO was McDavid's KO return, not sure Mount drives 80 yards for that final score.

Something tells me that "today's" Capital would have hung a 40-something on North Central and the 'Bash.  I think they have really notched it up.

Why this comment then, rcp?  Why disrespect the rest of the region like this?  This kind of OAC pretention is what ruffles feathers.  You guys all act like if it's not the OAC, it's crap.  The reality is that there is a lot of really good football being played outside of the region.  I'm not even asking for you to recognize the other teams playing well, just don't go out of your way to slam the rest of the region, which the vast majority of you guys tend to do at every drop of the hat.

And then when you take a karma hit for being blatantly disrespectful, you got defensive and started name-calling.  What happens after you started that is of your own doing.

Where are you coming from, kid?

I am outta here!  Celebration at Hooter's!!!

Great season Capital. Maybe they'll put you in the East next year so we can meet in the Semi's like JCU a few years ago.

B4, how many bottles of wine did you have today? :)

I think it might be easier to go to the liquor store and count how many bottles they have left.  It was certainly an entertaining play-by-play.

Although the NCAA will probably never do this, can you imagine Capital in the West or South Region?   Today's game between Mount and Capital would have been a FANTASTIC Stagg Bowl!   Too bad someone had to lose today.   Capital was tough to beat.  Go Raiders!   ;)

Just back from the game.  What a HELL of a football game!  I will be the first to admit I would have NEVER thought CAP could score that much.  Of course, when you have 320 or so total yards, and your receiver #10 has like 245, it then makes sense.  That kid was THE MAN today!  Awesome game by him.

It was one of the best back and forth games I have ever watched at MUC stadium.  Congrats to Mount for getting it done.  Here are some observations.

1.  We BETTER start playing some better pass D, or we will continue to have these kinds of games.
2.  Kmic is one tough NUT.
3.  Garcon was fired up all day, almost to the point of getting a little TOO worked up at times, but dayum can that kid play!
4.  Jorris had a few "iffy" moments, but when you look at the final stats he played very well.
5.  Pentello has shut me up about him for good.  I said he couldn't play well in a big game, but he proved today that he was up to the task.  He's the real deal.

GREAT CROWD today at the game.  Mount fans were into the game almost immediately.

Congrats to CAP on a great season.  Be proud.

One last thing.  Note to the PAC officials.  Maybe......just maybe you could go to a ball-spotting class before next year.  It was a total joke.  Both ways!  CAP got screwed on a 3-1 that might have meant a touchdown instead of a field goal, and MOUNT got jobbed on a pass play down near the goal line when Casto caught the ball on the 5, gets pushed back and out of bounds, and they spot it on about the 8?

I can't WAIT for next week and ROWAN.  It 's been six years, and we owe them one.

WOW! hats off to the best playoff game yet ! These two teams went toe to toe like a heavyweight fight, just awesome! Everytime one team started to gain momentum the other stole it right back. The big differnece was the Mount finally turning up the heat on Rocky the last few posessions, without getting time to pass and hurrying the passes he did make, it spelled doom. Cap was truly playing a much better game than Game #1 two months ago. Cap Receiving corp is just awesome when they could get open. Mount's Garcone stepped up as well, making some unbeleiveable catches when Jorris delivered. Garcone was not pushing off at all but there were some definite pass interference done to Garcone that were never called. The officiating was again SUB par at best, but coming from the Presidential Athletic Conference that's answers that!! I can't understand why the NCAA can't come up with better zebras than they do for such important games. Cap showed today why the deserved to be playing at this level, a well played game by a terrificly talented team, well deserved of their 9 or so picks as OAC All-americans.
Awesome team effort Raiders, everyone pulled together at the critical times they needed to in getting a victory. Now, its time for some '99 payback to the Profs!
ROLL RAIDERS!!!

Capital had the hardest hitting defense I've seen in LK Stadium.Fercious hitting by both sides. In the final analysis ,it was the great play of DLs Wolf,Stickley and Baurer in the fourth quarter that turned the tide. What a  game!

JK

mtfan,

OF course I wan't there (and I am pissed about it), but the Cap announcers said on Garcon's second TD he pushed the Cap DB TO THE GROUND!  I will wait for others to comment on it that were there, but I still feel like a lot of the calls went MUC's way.  They always do, but they have earned that.  It is just something that you have always had to accept as an opponent in MUC stadium... MUC will get the benefit of the doubt on all calls.

Again, I wasn't there, and I am not "blaming" the loss on the officials.  I know I was listening to a biased broadcast, so don't jump all over me.

Great win by MUC, great game by Cap.  Good luck next week MUC.
