One more thought.  I have no rooting interest in the other semifinal but if Mount Union and Wis-Whitewater play in the Stagg Bowl that would be four different teams in two years and they all wear purple.  How cool is that? ;D

Ric- You guys did a great job today calling the game. Not sure what the deal is with the Cap broadcaster.

I thought Cap did not have the guns to stay with Mount but obviously I was way wrong. As stated in previous posts, great game Cap!

Kmic had another great game but I don't believe he played as prominent roll as last week. It seemed that once Mount started passing on a regular basis they controlled the game a little more. The D came up big when it had to.

Looking forward to giving the Profs a little detention time next week.

3) I guess Linfield found out today just how tough it is to repeat.  Makes Mount's six out of seven all the more impressive.  The Raiders will be playing in their 11th consecutive semifinals next week.  How impressive is that?

Ric,

On my drive back from the 'Catdome I was thinking the same thing.  Winning back-to-back is so tough....but winning six out of seven is just too much to wrap my mind around....and Linfield was a great team.  Just shows how great of a program Mount is.

Good luck with Rowan....sure you won't need it.

Congrats,

mucraiders,

I  don't meant the long TD.  I mean the one he caught in the endzone.  I don't think he was trying to make a move then.

Oh, okay.  That one I'm not sure about because I couldn't see well on that play.  The other one happened right in front of me.

The Capital broadcast was terrible and completely unprofessional.  They complained about the officiating and the Garcon touchdown quite a bit  The play by play man even said after a Capital touchdown to take the lead "Put that in your pipe and smoke it Mount Union."  It is one thing to be excited about the game and I would expect some bias broadcasting but the game was hard to follow as the color guy was too busy cheering and ohhing ahhing after every play.

Just got home form the game. WOW!!!!!! An oustanding game. I think there was some pushing off but the zebras let the boys play. Although MUC D played a great game I felt the game was won on the MUC O line. CAP lead the league in sacks but they just couldn't get much of a push against those horses and couldn't get enough pressure on the QB.

Kmic is the real deal too!! That kid has a great future ahead of him. He took some un believable hits but wouldn't go down. I hated seeing him sitting in the middle of the field waiting for a pass too. He had some great opportunities to take them down the field. Hated to see this outstanding game end.

Great season CAP. Mount....... Go get em boys!!!!! We are pulling for you.

I'm thinking about taking a trip next week for the game.  What are your major airports close to Mount Union.

Akron-Canton is roughly 35-40 minutes drive,  Pittsburgh one and 1/2hrs+.

We won our basketball game tonight, which was cool because it was against an in county rival.  However, I can't be completely happy with the day.  Again I am proud of Cap.

Looking ahead to next year.  Should be another exciting year of OAC football.  I can see Cap finishing anywhere from 1st to 4th.  I expect MUC to be tough as usual.  Ohio Northern should be as good as anyone in the country.  Same with JCU.  Otterbein is getting much better, and may be ready to make the jump to the next level.  BW may have a recovery and return to the upper echelon.  The OAC is much deeper than in years past when it was MUC and ONU/JCU/BW.

Can't wait till next year.

Ric,

Despite the fact you are a Mount fan, I respect you and your opinion.  If you say Garcon didn't push off, I will believe you.

Man, I wish I had been there.

JK,
All recievers push off from time to time.  It's the good or great ones that do not get caught!

reality check

I posted late last night wishing the teams good luck today.

I came back on and 21 pages had been posted since 11 pm last night!!!  That has to be some kind of record.

Congrats to both teams for representing the OAC once again so well on a national level.  That was a hell of a game today.  Pat Cummings, in addition to webcasting the game, was instant messaging Gordon and I while we broadcast the Del Val/Rowan game so I felt like we were there at the North Region Final at the same time as we were in Doylestown painting the picture there.  It's very cool how far we have all come with live stats, webcasts, etc. at the DIII level.

Capital put up a huge effort.  I commented to Gordon that Mount Union has a knack for demolishing OAC opponents the second time around and I hoped that didn't happen today.  I was grinning ear to ear while I read the updates since both teams played so hard back and forth today in Alliance.  At halftime, the stands were all abuzz in Doylestown as people were prematurely planning for the North Region champ.  I was proud to be an OAC ambassador and hear all the whispering and talk about Mount and Capital.  Too bad however that all the whispering and chatter was coming from Del Val fans and they came up short.  I think we all know Rowan is primed for a return to Alliance.  If anyone wants some analysis of Rowan this week, I will be glad to share what I saw today.

Way to go Purples! (CAP and MUC)

Watching a lot of Football today.  One non-d3 thought... if Florida State goes to a BCS game, I will absolutely puke.

Reality,

How 'bout sharing what you saw? We've all heard that Rowen has some big name players out so what's the story with them storming back like they did?
